Shoulda got rid of the chrome while he was at it, or just painted the rings tan. I've been thinking about doing the same to mine, but OD green. Really not a fan of chrome.

 

Same here. I had mine powder coated a dark bronze.

This post is really relevant to me. I was caught off guard this weekend, doing a long'ish haul on the Interstate in my Tacoma, when pops and I passed what appeared to be a White on Black 2024 TRD Pro. No plates, so it wasn't purchased yet, but I still have my doubts it was a real promo/dealer vehicle. I know there's already aftermarket TRD Faux grilles out for Gen 4 and the TRD Pro badges can be had elsewhere. But this one was done up in all of the badging, grille and accents as if it was a Pro. Not gonna lie, it looked pretty sharp whether real or not.

 

It could have been. Did you happen to see the tailgate? "TRD PRO" stamped on the tailgate would be hard to replicate without spending considerable time and effort. Where did you see it?

 

It did indeed have TRD PRO stamped on the tailgate, which is what sent me and has me believing I spotted a rare unicorn. Proper badging, grille with legacy TOYOTA lettering, skewp with the black accent on it (vs. the full color matched Sport) and black flares vs. color matched. Spotted on the Turnpike between NJ and DE; not too far from the Delaware Memorial Bridge.
