I had my ablation in 2015. No more afib until 2022. Cardiologist says the heart can find a way around the scar over time. Made me do a sleep study and found I have sleep apnea. Wife said I didn't have sleep apnea just breathe shallow. Guess I was stopping breathing around 20 times an hour. Got a cpap and have had no more episodes of afib.
Ablation was easy peasy. They do it all the time so while there could be complications, they are few and far between.
My trigger for afib was being dehydrated and tired. Hopefully they can figure it out for you.

Happy to hear you are good. I'm not sure what my triggers are - it might be dehydration and tiredness - don't know. :notsure:. I've tried to figure it out, but no luck so far. ALL my episodes have started at night. I do use a cpap for sleep apnea now, and have had 5 episodes since getting my cpap, so.... I've spoken with a few folks that have had it done, but I'm chicken and it's not like it happens every week.... :anonymous:

My Cardiologist is always telling me “water, water, water. No coffee, no soda pop, clear pee. I don’t understand the relationship but I do try to pound the water. I feel somewhat better but a lot of trips to the head. I don’t have Afib but it’s the rest of my cardiovascular system that’s getting worn out.

So sorry Blevin. It is hard to let go when they have loved you so well. Thoughts and prayers that the good memories will eventually fill the hole in your heart.

I missed this post. I'm so very sorry for your loss. Yesterday marked 1 year that we had to put our Molly Belle down from bone cancer. I really do understand how you're feeling and know I send my heartfelt sincerest condolences.
