Tundra Conversion - Adventure4x4's Build

Sweet. I've gone to a manual tcase as well. Keeping it simple stupid.

How are you getting on with the Tundra conversion?

 

Slow progress with the tundra conversion so far. We just bought a house so in process of getting everything organized. Hopefully I can jump back on the computer here soon. And the garage is a mess right now haha

 

I get you. Sometimes the fun stuff takes a back seat while you have to organize life haha. I've been there many times this past year while building the truck.
Interested to see which direction you go with on the diff.

 

Finally feel like I have some time to work on the truck. Family, house, and school has been the priority. I'm anxious to see how the diff will fit. I had a little time the other day to start pulling the FJ case apart. Not much to share as far as that goes. Plenty of people have done the swap.

i wont be wheeling anymore haha just dirtbikes these days! i just want my truck capable when camping in the middle of nowhere. no more offroad parks!

 

Merus is fun! We've been there 4 times so far and still haven't seen everything.

If you're ever out in Tennessee, check out Windrock. 72,000 Acres of trails. I went for ATR last year and barely scratched the surface wheeling 3 days straight!

 

So many options haha. I will definitely check it out if i head up that way.

 

We're getting somewhere now. Also found out that an FJ manual trans shifter won't work with a tacoma; ball trans end is longer.

 

gotta hate it when your ball shaft is longer
