I might take you up on that offer! It’s probably gonna be a couple months before I do it; I have a few big trips coming up and I also want to wait until this winter is officially over.

That’s awesome you used to detail. I’ve been binge watching Chem-X detail videos on YouTube recently I love his big rig detail vids.

Good lord that’s a lot of hours into those vehicles, super impressive! Hopefully my truck will look brand new again once I have it done. There’s a decent amount of pinstriping so I’m wondering how much will be able to be fixed.

 

If it snags a fingernail, only touch up paint can fix. But if it doesn't, then there is a high likelihood I can correct.

Decided to do a quick overnight trip this weekend with @2016Taco4Me and another camping buddy of mine.

All loaded up and ready to go!

Knew it was going to be a cold one, with forecasted lows of 9... but wasn't expecting the snow or the winds.

Believe we ended up getting between 4 and 5 inches of snow and from a little research seems we were getting 20mph sustained winds with 40 mph gusts through the night.

This is what we woke up to....

Great evening experience with friends and helping to dial in a check list/pack list for cold weather camping. Also was able to run the diesel heater all night and after the wind finally calmed a bit it was easily in the upper 70s in the tent!

 

Sounds like a good trip overall.

 

So.... I may have made a purchase very recently and now the question is...



Who needs a set of tires???

Going to be looking to hook someone up with a hell of a deal on (5) 285/75r17 Maxxis Buckshot 2's that have less than 3,000 miles on them.

So reach out if you are interested.

 

Ok, after much delay (and some procrastination). I finally got the new tires mounted and put on the truck!!!!

Here are pics of the previous tires for comparison with the new size.

Old. (Maxxis Buckshot Mudder 2's in 285/75r17)

New

Much skinnier!!!!!!!

The new tires are Mickey Thompson Baja Boss in 255/85r17

Haven't driven the truck at all, so no review yet.... but it will come.

 

With that said, I now have a set of (5) tires with less than 3,000 miles on them for sale. (For cheap)

Only 4 in the pictures because I haven't dismounted the spare yet. But it is in just as good of shape, if not better.

What made you change it up? Just wanted to try something different?

 

Size... I have been waiting for someone to release this particular size for quite some time. When they did a little while back I knew I was going to get them. Just had to buy a few other things before, since my tires were already practically brand new. Then I saw them go on an outstanding sale from an online retailer and I said screw it and bought them.

 

So nobody needs a membership to a tire obsession group lol
