Though, if one watches a few hours of video from the trenches in Ukraine, it is hard to think there is any better weapon than a good old stamped-potmetal AK…

rain, snow, mud, grit, thousands of rounds - just kick it, hammer it with a rock or bash it against a tree and it’s right back to working just fine.

 

A friend at my Club, a retired policeman, had a Sig P220 in .45 ACP.
He had carried it as his service pistol, and it was well used.
Some of the bluing had been worn off.

I've never been a fan of .45 ACP, mostly because I'm terrible with the 1911 A1

But I shot his Sig pretty well, and liked it a lot

 

P220 are nice, and shoot great! I have one

Just catching up on the topic. Got to say that I really like Ruger as well. Having said that, I've got a Kimber Pro CDP II .45 that is a really nice shooting gun.
