Thanks. My rental vehicle was also a Tacoma. It didn’t have the RAS overload springs mine has and sagged under the weight of my tools I use for work. I missed having those springs and also my upgraded speakers.

Installed a new steering wheel today. Much thicker and better profile in the hand hold area. Also a little pop of red for good measure. What a week: new fogs, hidden bumper light bar, anytime front camera, steering wheel, accessory mounts (2), and misc small items.

Nice, the thicker hand pads and deeper perforations are so much better than stock.

I have question about the bed stiffeners. I have seen several different brands and styles available. Is there one particular type that is best and is there some that should be avoided ? Any advice is welcome, thanks.

Bulk is less expensive, but this is easier for my wife and I to distribute around yard. I also put a tarp in the bed so it is easier to clean up.

We’ve done both also. Much easier to carry to difficult parts of the yard if it’s bagged. Bulk for large/easy areas, bags for convenience.

    This and that
Total chaos are nice. You want flat bases as much possible, they take up less precious wiggle room from the width of the tailgate. I had a set of Cali raised and switched to I think victory 4x4 because I installed fridge slides in the bed.

I like mine from 1320 Performance. Has lots of tie down spots too for different angles.

Speaking of pads, I would like to know how your arm rest mod is holding up. I saw it years ago but picked up a strapping spongy top pad. The problem is I bought the hidden box for under the lid and the straps interfere so I was thinking to do your mod. Where can I see the specs of your foam that you used and did you ever have to change it if it got worn in one spot? TIA

Thanks for everyone’s opinions on the bed stiffeners. Soooo many to choose from. I kinda like the Total Chaos ones and the 1320 Performance ones. And it was good advice to keep in mind how much the brackets interferes with the opening width at the tailgate. I’ll have to snoop dog this some more before buying.

Y’all this mod thread is going to bust me, dang !!!!

I have always thought the Brat seats would be a great mod for the tacoma. It would be a great hunting buggy.

FWIW also have the Chaos stiffeners and they’ve been great especially for the tie down points. Use them all the time.
