    Good evening everyone.
A few weeks ago I started the venture to rebuild my motor with my 2001Toyota Tacoma. The project is taking me 3 weeks and I was building it from the block up. New rings new bearings. Now that I've finished building the motor and adding the aftermarket super charger on it. The truck will not start, the truck will crank. But that's as far as it goes now. I hooked up my scanner to it. I'm not showing any codes. However, the SRS warning light stays on. It doesn't blink it just stays on the moment the key is turned. I have feeling my grounds might be messed up. Does anyone have a diagram of the second pigtail harness. Where each connect goes to. I.e. starter, alternator, etc. And where the ground points are on the truck. Any suggestions would definitely help.

Is your fuel pump sending when you’re turning it over?

are you meaning after the SRS check. The CEL does illuminate the moment the key is turned. However after and OBDII scan. 0 codes are found.
Now I'm wondering if my truck is even going through its initial scan during the SRS check.

I have the 5vz-fe supercharged with about 250,000 on it. I stripped it down to the block and replaced everything. The rings, bearings, head gaskets, all of it. Full rebuild. Cylinder 1 had pitting so damn bad I had to replace the cylinder head with the piston. I am not getting power to the ecu. I have the grounds connected to the firewall, one to the block just next to the oil filter. Those are the only ones besides on the intake manifold. I checked the timing and it's good, I have fuel, but no spark.

Heres the wiring manual for an 01

Definitely feels like a loose wire somewhere. Did you do any changes to the wiring other than just unplugging and replugging?

I will check the IAC. Its fairly new. Which is why I ruled it out. I'm suspecting a vacuum leak. What's everyone's take on the pic attached. It's the driver side of my engine bay. Screenshot_20240423_001416_Sketchbook.jpg

When you say rpms shoot up, is it shooting to a "normal" cold idle like 1500-1800? Or does it rev even higher?

Iac issues, in my experience, have caused a surging (jumping from ~500-1000 rpm) idle. With the supercharger diagram there id also check the vacuum throttle opener while youre checking resistances of the iac, e throttle motor, and throttle position sensor. Ive never worked on a supercharged 5vz. Very curious as to whats going on.

It revs to about 3500. However it does surge as well.

Thanks for the diagram. However I need to know what some of those are in relation to the supercharger diagram.

Maybe it's your idler control. Have you tried putting it in drive and seeing if the rpm's drop? I had to replace mine after mine sat after some years because it was hella sticky.

I finally took it too a shop so they could figure it out. They sid its the IAC but we will see when the part comes in. My only worry is the truck didn't have this problem before the engine rebuild.
