@Digiratus I finally made potatoe! Probably a bit heavy on the oil, but man it made all the difference from last time.

 

I mean it wasn't bad when we're just there. Just stay in the lane and it's fine.

 

That is awesome. Use the experience as a baseline now that you know. Feel like you can make small changes to make "improvements" and enjoy the experiments.

 

I think you've hit on it. We are always a caravan. At least 2 of us and sometimes more. I think if I was alone I'd drive it a lot more aggressively. Aggressive/defensive is my way to stay out of trouble.

 

Well HOV is nice too if you have someone else haha

 

Alright. So I know @Speedytech7 you were saying you'd be interested in coming to the Pryors next month. I've got a Hike I want to do that has pictographs. And some caves marked to try and find and see whats what there. Lot of them are on the roads we've done in the past.

Anyone else coming? Probably leave my place Friday night and come back Monday afternoon or something like that.

 

That's a long way to go for a 4 day'er. But I guess I'm in for the adventure.

Any more details on the hikes? Length? Terrain/elevation gain?

 

The current one is a mileish. Terrain is not flat but I don't think crazy.

Cave stuff is not far off roads but will take some hunting.

No pressure if course from me to come. It's pretty short. Just a weekend for us really.

 

I'm interested but need a bit more information. Specific dates, and then a pin drop of roughly the area so I can see about travel times needed.

I think the meet up is Friday the 24th, in the afternoon/evening. Bridger is where we've started the trail in the past.

Friday the 24th is correct. Just memorial day weekend.

Bridget is a good gauge be easy if there in the Pryor's like last time you were there. If you come we won't do the switchbacks but that's all I'd change. Just rough roads otherwise.

Yeah hit dirt just south of there. Though could go just north of Frannie this time.

 

I mean, it's great for desert trips. Even would have been great for the Swell if I hadn't already had a trip on the books then... but I think I really need to bring it back by late April/early May from here on out.

You mentioned a July trip too - staff week off or something. The one Mike was going to create a thread for? (or something like that ) Do you have dates for that? Is that July 22?

 

yeah get a week off in July 22nd. Putting an exploring trip of western MT together for that.

Damn still going to be a long one at 630 miles. The idea being Friday, sat, sunday, come home Monday? I'd be willing to tack on a day on either the front end or back end of we wanted to have more time.

Yeah that was my plan.

Wasn't looking to make it any longer than that. The July trip is a week so thats the longer trip for summer. So no worries if ya skip this one.

Or you could do something on your own or with Mike to keep it going. I'll be heading home Monday either way.
