yea, that is pretty crazy. If I was actually interested in it, I’d post it on their fb and Toyotas fb page to try and stir up some shit.

we’ll see what happens later this year, if I look for a 25 Tacoma or 4Runner. There are some things I want on my truck that I can’t install myself. Oh, and I want one in Everest.

 

I’ll be interested to see what you do! I’m hoping the LC prices come down after the first year but I’m not actually “hopeful”

 

I’ve been talking with my wife about it and I think either might be an option. I don’t know that I want 2 big SUVs but I like some of the 4R things like the rear window that rolls down. It’s a shame the moon roof in there isn’t bigger

 

I’ve always loved the 4 runners, if I didn’t need the truck bed occasionally I would have probably purchased one but I honestly think I wouldn’t have enough cargo space with the dogs and all the stuff for our super long trips. So I don’t think I regret it? Lol

 

I guess the Land Cruiser is longer? I know I posted the specs a few pages back but can’t remember.

 

I honestly haven’t looked, it would be the wife’s car and she would just use it for driving around town so it doesn’t really need to have anything specific other than wheels and a motor

 

My wife had wanted one that wasn’t ugly, a ford, Chevy, Hyundai, Kia or a RAV4

I’ve also gotta plan for my kid needing something in 4 years. Wife told me that the $500 beaters I had to buy myself as a teen won’t cut it for him

I think the 3rd gen’s are too big for a first vehicle otherwise I could consider keeping mine for him. He needs a Toyota truck or 1st gen Tacoma or early 4R (not like they can be found for a 1st car price).

 

Oh yeah that’s an interesting thing to consider, I wonder what the 1st gens will be like in 4 years. They will practically be antiques

 

Maybe because I'm getting older...and I have a newish truck with 2 years till payoff...

And those new LC’s look nice. But I thought prices were crazy when I bought my Tacoma a few years ago. Ain’t paying $55k+ for these new vehicles. Not unless my salary goes up to match

Lucky for me the local dealer I use (in Maryland) does not add anything to their vehicles at all. Now, LC's are gonna be no discount. However, I did get some off when I bought my '24 Tacoma from them.

Oh shit, didn’t realize you had a 24. How you liking it so far? I see you have the SR. Does that have the leaf spring rear or the coil springs?

 

Mine is the SR5 with options package so JBL audio and heated seats/steering wheel. I love the new 2.4 turbo and 8 speed automatic. They finally seem to have figured out programming. It has the rear coil spring suspension and I honestly don't feel any difference compared to my '22.

I did hand calculate fuel mileage and it came out to 25.6mpg. That's honestly not too shabby!
