Yeah, I definitely see that. I haven’t noticed anything like that on mine but I’m going to look close tomorrow. I wouldn’t rest till Toyota makes that right. Good luck and let us know how things turn out.

IMG_4319.jpg It must be a manufacturer defect mine is ever so slightly on the passenger and driver door. It’s not enough for concern but I will be watching to see if it gets worse with time.

Double checked my drivers door and it seemed to have a littlr warpage similar to yours but not enough to bother me as much as the passenger side..

Both of my doors are about the same as long as they never get any worse I will be good. As far as your passenger door I would feel as you do and have Toyota make it right I am sure the only fix is to replace the door panel.

Is your truck parked in direct sunlight?

Occasionally yes it is parked outside but it hasnt been scorching hot in my province as of yet, its been raining lately. Im assuming it would be a factory defect perhaps. And i really hope the dealer i purchased it from doesnt give me too much problems to get this issue resolved.

Prob its glued, its pick up truck why do you expect quality from interior lol. Trucks are made to work, perform, not to provide comfort or quality.

I'm pretty sure we all understand your point of view but we pay quite a bit of hard earned money for these things to be a little better quality lol.

    LS1 swap with nitros.
For a Chevy sure thing. We buy Toyotas for the quality.

Any connections between quality control issues and COVID years production... ?I was in a fender bender and it took 6months just to get some a piece of plastic that lines the wheel wells. I have a 18.

Not all trucks are work trucks! My truck is nicer than most peoples car. If we let Toyota charge good money for these trucks and then let them build a product that doesn’t match what they charge they will continue to do so.

Contacted the dealership and in typical fashion. They are just passing me around to different managers with no concrete answer. Time to contact corporate.

Update - Service manager noticed that it was not seated where it was to supposed to sit and he popped it back in place. Popped back in place pretty close to the driver side but just needs time for the plastic to conform back to its shape. Probably put heater on max and aim on the panel and massage. It does not have the huge gap anymore.

Be very careful with heat! I am not sure how thick or heat resistant the Tacoma door skins are, but I had some dizzy B tint the windows of my Infinite G35 and she melted both door skins in that area. The material actually shrank, pulled away, and exposed the white composite through. And that was of course her heating the glass/tint to conform to the curve, so I would be reluctant to apply heat directly.

That’s great it was a simple fix and now I can stop worrying about mine.

I think I would park in the sun on a hot day and let the sun and gravity do it’s thing.
