Picked up a snug top for a decent price, and unsure what direction to go with the color. Thinking either getting it wrapped in a topo design, or color matched paint.

Thoughts and price range for those that have gone either direction?

Subbed for future reference. No idea on price, but I think a matte black topographic wrap would look neat. If you're not feeling the current 2 tone combo you might be happier with a color match.

I bought a mismatched shell and had it resprayed locally at a shop I trust. I think I got a good deal because they were slow during the pandemic and also got a cash discount. $450 out the door and even I can't easily tell any mismatch in color.

If you can find a shop like I had that can paint match in-house then I say go that route. I can't speak on wraps for color match but have to imagine that will be more limited since mixing paint shades is infinite. Not sure if the price is really any different either way.

Did they spray it on or off the truck?

They took it off the truck, had it for about a week, and then reinstalled back on the truck at the end. They definitely paid close attention to the gasket and I have zero leaks other than going through auto high-pressure car washes (but only a couple drops and I think it comes through the track screw holes not the gasket). Couldn't have asked for better service and results.
