    Did some exploring yesterday. The rivers and streams I checked out were all still blown out.

    Not a good weekend at Casa de Spruce Mica. Our well pump went out yesterday. Old pump (4") was difficult to pull up, new 4" won't go down the casing. Need a 2.5" pump and no one has it in stock so Monday at the earliest... probably longer. So... using my CC travel points at a Hampton Inn seven miles from our house...not exactly our idea of vacationing

    Spend a good part of the day exploring some local land trusts and historical sites. The trails along the land trust had these amazing benches carved from a single tree.

    The other site was along the Presumpscot river and it was a gunpowder mill during the Civil War.

    The river was raging and well up into the woods along the banks. They're dumping the lakes from all the winter runoff from the western part of the state.

    Wifey and I went down the breakwater here in RI, decided to snag this photo. The beach had been gone entirely up until a couple weeks ago, the town brought in truck load after truck load of sand to rebuild the beaches from decembers storm.

    Did a couple of solo Earth Day cleanups today at a couple of carry-in boat launches today. I use them often for canoeing. Filled a contactor bag and didn't see anyone else out and about.

    It's all about what you do when nobody is looking that determines your character and integrity. Sounds like you're good to go :thumbsup:

    Mun day. Blah.

    @Sig45 good on ya brother.

    curious if you have a solo canoe or make do with a standard and work from the stern?

    canoeing is becoming less common. Kayaks are the thing. They’re great but the canoe holds a special place.

    Canoes flip.
    Kayaks flip.
    Just by looking at them.
    I’ll stick to my boat.
