It’s exactly as I sold it to him. Perfect condition!! Only 4300 miles on the clock and needs absolutely NOTHING!! The only thing I am going to do is re powder coat the parts I did in grey and make them black.
Might take it out for a little bonding time

So he stored it for you for a couple years. Now you get to have it back and it's not all wrung out. That's a pretty good deal.

My dual sport buddy/mentor refuses to wear goggles due to comfort, but unless there's a visor its really important to have them on when off pavement. Spitting rocks/roost is a big worry.

I have a simple MX9 helmet but I actually enjoy running goggles, and love the back up of having the visor to flip down when we hit pavement.

Well just went out on a short 25mile ride to get acquainted with the bike again. Felt really weird at first just because I have been riding the R3. It obviously takes more effort in the turns and you need to be lighter on the throttle. By the time I got back it was feeling normal. I will go out on a longer ride tomorrow after my morning workout.
Oh and I hit the R3’s top speed of 110mph in third gear with more to go. This bike absolutely RIPS!!!

I ride 99% with the visor up and sunglasses. Unless i get hit in the face with a bug. Or if I get caught in the rain. I have a nice pair of 100% goggle that i have yet to use!

I love love love that honda. My co-worker restored a Cub recently, there's way more parts available than you'd think. Cub is way more volume but still surprising.

    I want a mini moto!

Thank you, I’ve owned it for around 25 years, it’s the motorcycle my daughter learned to ride on and the only one of my motorcycles that she’s claimed for her own

Oh yessssssssss! I'd probably swap all fluids just due to time passed but what a bitching bike! Congrats man! I rode an FZ8 awhile back for a buddy after he bought it and didn't want to ride it home.... The FZ1 was on my list of Honda 919 replacement bikes for a long while.

Something so pure about a moto like this. Just pure fun pure simplicity pure joy. !
