I'm not a smart man, but I know what a sway bar drop kit is.

Common sense and visual comparison tells me that this is a sway bar drop/relocation plate. As this is my first time looking under the truck, can someone please confirm?

Context: purchased from a friend who had a 2.5" lift installed. Asked him if he also installed the drop kit and he said no. Well.. looks to me like it's got one and wanted to confirm before returning the drop kit I just ordered. LOL

Can anyone also identify the brand?

 

This looks like the sway bar relocation kit I got from ADS when I installed their coil-overs. Then I removed the sway bar...haven't exploded in flames yet.

 

I would say yes. It is definitely a drop kit.

 

Thank you. It looks twice the size compared to the Amazon brand I got. Goes to show more research should go in to these things before impulsively pulling the trigger, as i did!

 

May I ask the area you live? I'm curious if folks that opt to run without the sway bar have a more relaxed rural environment where aggressive/defensive driving on pavement is not as necessary. I live in the bay area and I have to do a defensive maneuver at least once a month haha.

 

Serch removing the sway bar on the forum. Lots of opinions here. Mine is off but a hard turn at high speed could spell trouble.

Fair question. I live in Colorado Springs, CO. For those who know the area I did drive on Powers Blvd yesterday and it was scary!

 

I fixed that by applying heavier tires and a thick layer of ballast, uh armor to stay rubber-side-down.
No more high speed

 

These aren't Jeeps, there's no need for a sway bar "drop" with a basic suspension lift. The pictured item is a relocation block designed to move the sway bar forward a little so it doesn't hit the spring perch on aftermarket coilovers. As a side effect the sway bar is lowered a bit just because the block has some thickness to accommodate bolt threads.
