I know nothing about legal stuff. But maybe the only thing is to get him to pay for maintance and snow removal. Get your attorney to draw up an agreement saying each party is responsable for paying for these things, everytime you clear or do maintance present him with a bill. He should be willing to pay to keep his property up.
Just trhowing things at a wall to see if they stick.
Didn't all this start with trees/shrubs?

Thankful to just have a neighbor on one side and behind me. Side neighbors don't give a dang about anything and back neighbors 75 years old still bush hogging his land and generally keeping it up. Bad neighbors can really ruin a property for you.

    Where’s the dislike button :D

I don’t want anything from him and he can stay the f___ off my property.

By his startment yesterday, there is no agreement to be had. We’re going to ask our attorney about an injunction to prevent use of our driveway or any damage to the arborvitaes on the property line.

We are WAY beyond any agreement of any sort and I certainly don’t want to open the door to his newly dilusional assertion my driveway is a driveway in common.

Told boss man we need to have a sit down. Several issues to discuss. I don't want to leave this job, pay and benefits are pretty good. But at the cost of my mental health. We will see if he takes it seriously :fingerscrossed:

This might not be the best place to ask this question, but Ya'll seem to be pretty creative so I'll ask anyway.

We bought 65 acres in Alabama and it's more or less in the middle on no where. We have 22 acres of row crop that I leased to a local farmer. He lives a little over a mile away on the other side of one of the creeks on our property. He informed me that there was only one character in the neighborhood I needed to watch out for. This guy has been in and out of prison and is a known thief. It will be a few years before we build and move but I'm planning on putting a shipping container on the property to keep our SXS and farm tractor in.

Now for my question.....Any creative ideas how to keep the container safe and secure. It will have the better enclosed lock box and good quality locks. I have a cellular trail cam that I intend on watching it with as well as a few hidden traditional trail cams. I thought about setting up a strobe light inside the container that would activate if the doors were open. At this point I do not have power or internet service.

So far no one has messed around on the property or no signs or anything on any of the trail cams. That said other than the gates we put up and a few tow straps there isn't anything worth taking at this point.

The property is about an hour away from the house.

All you can do is TRY and prevent someone from taking something. If they want it bad enough, they'll take it.

With that being said, sounds like you have a pretty good game plan

Look into solar powered satellite game cameras. Put them up high and do your best to hide them then post signs of no trespassing and property is under surveillance. Get a few cheap or dummy cameras that while placed out of reach are visible so if someone decides to screw with a camera hopefully the choose the cheap, in sight plain version instead of your more expensive camera.
