new bow and few trail cam and live from the feild bear pictures

so i decided to do a all in one post. first here is my new bow (i am an addict and can admit it)


now here are the bear pictures, April 1st was opening of spring bear here in Oregon so i decided on Sunday to go out for the afternoon.
first i checked my trail camera in my bear area.







after looking at the camera it was a long hike into my favorite corner of the area after about an hour of looking i found this guy. i watched him for an hour and decided he was just not what i wanted so he got to live to die another day.

 

ahem....

i got another destroyer 340 this one is optifade forest.
i just picked up a bunch of sitka gear to. i love the stuff (atleast the one day i got to use it)

 

down by Florence. my buddy down there is a timber cruiser so he knows all the good spots. he has seen like 10 bears already this year.

 

i'm gonna buy my first bear tag this season. why not.

they are getting plentiful.

they are fun to hunt spot and stalk for sure. there eye sight sucks but there sense of smell is second to none and they can hear pretty good. i put a half-ass (at best) stalk on the bear in my pictures to get an idea of what i could and could not get away with. they are pretty nervous animals really. i got about 100 yards from him and he heard me, that was that gone. i wish i would have taken my 9 year old she would have put the smack down on him with a gun for sure.

 

i have 4 now, yes i have a problem. and there are atleast 3 more i want. if Mathews did the extreme tactical in a long ATA bow (like 32" or more) i would have bought one of those.
