Truck has 40k miles on it. I pulled up to a gas pump that didn't work I basically just set the gas cap back on and drove around the the other pump. This is when all the lights came on. Accompanying issues are cruise control will turn on but not engage, crawl and MTS modes are unavailable. 4hi and 4lo still engage with no issue. I've found several issues on here that were slightly similar but nothing that matches up. Ive checked fuses and tried disconnecting both sensors on the rear diff, even with them disconnected the lights remain on. I'm starting to lean towards ABS sensor but wanted to see if anyone had experience with this or some potential fixes.

I'm trying to determine also if not fully seating the gas cap before driving around the pump would have anything to do with it or if that was just a coincidence as far as timing.

There's most likely an issue in the braking/abs system. Pull all the codes to start a proper investigation.

No recent work has been done. This just happened literally while sitting still. Currently on a road trip in CO so I don't have access to all tools and equipment but I've cleaned and used dielectric grease on rear diff sensors, then traced wires looking for any issues, and checked fuses. Does anyone know if a wheel speed/abs sensor DTC will pop up on any scanner other than a techstream?

Took it to a shop that had a diagnostic tool, when codes were cleared they did not re-appear ( but all the lights stayed on) once the diff lock button was hit code P17CO would pop. as far as I can tell the wiring harness is in good shape, I'm about 2000 miles from home (headed back tomorrow) but of course, I didn't bring my multimeter.

Of course it would happen at the furthest point from home!

I will be of no help on this one - but surely someone here will have some suggestions. At least it seems you are still on the move.

    Good luck!

After re-reading your post, I caught that the diff lock light is mentioned in the subject. This is an uncommon light for a simple braking/abs system malfunction. The P17C0 also points to a diff lock circuit issue. Your problem most likely lives there.
