I would think the neighbor would remove it, if it fell from their property.

Our last house, I was constantly cleaning tree limbs up from the neighbor(s) properties.

Good morning, ok I had a tree on the property line mostly on my side, come down 2 years ago. It took out my neighbors shed. They took care of it all. But then called in a portable saw mill and made lumber which they kept all of it.
I do need to say that we have the best neighbors anyone could ever ask for.
If it were my neighbor or myself whatever was on my land would be mine to dispose of or use anyway I see fit.
So if it's good wood for lumber and you have the use and means to have it sawed then all yours.
Or if you burn wood all yours. If it's on your property as the law says possession is 9/10's of the law. If not usable to you cut it off your property and toss everything back to their property and call it a day.
All in all my experience and opinion but do your homework as not to get into trouble .

 

Unwritten law, if tree falls from your property to someone elses you remove it.

 

Here in VT we have a trespass law that includes property. It would be a legal thing so is it worth doing probably not!
Just seems like doing the right nowadays is a thing of the past!
I feel bad for my neighbor who just bought 2yrs ago gutted the house etc.
Now he got stuck dealing with the tree shit.

 

I'm wondering if somewhere in a deep, dark corner of my brain I haven't heard this before because I told my wife that I thought the Coldcut song sounded like the Big Bad Voodoo Daddies or Squirrel Nut Zippers. I wasn't too far off from Brian Setzer.

 

I would feel responsible for it anyway. If it was yours when it was vertical, it's still yours if it's horizontal.

 

Now that's different you're in VT. Then do whatever you need to do to clear your land and as the saying goes ignorance is a bliss. Or It’s Easier to Ask Forgiveness Than It Is To Get Permission!

 

Very true I could just smoke some pot and ignore it I guess!
Or just smoke some pot with my neighbors and get along?

Morning everyone! I finally have a little project I’m building for a job next week.

I concur it's pretty whatever it is.

 

This pot legalization is crazy- VT, MA, ME, everytime we see a shop it’s still a shock.
I’m neither for or against it, BTW.

 

We can grow 4 plants per family member in Va. I've never tried it and don't intend to.

I took on a big side welding project yesterday, guy bought this online and wants me to cut the entire hitch off and redo it. It's way too high and sticks out too far.
