Got it stuck while solo for the first time since I bought it. There was nothing close enough to attach my winch cable to (next step was attaching it to a traction boards and burying it). A good amount of elbow grease and a shovel and i was able to get out and on with the adventure.

I’ve got one starting to leak out the outer side also. Was it just a new clamp to fix? If so what banding/clamping tool to did you use?

    Oetiker crimp tool.

Knipex side jaw. Knipex both side jaw. Cheap weak generic kind. Amateur screw type. Pro screw type. Take your pick.

assuming it’s that and not some weird Toyota one that it might be. Where it has to clip together in one spot rather than squish. Forget what I jury rigged to do that. Might have even squeezed it with two flat heads.

hardest part if you separate a hose clamp is putting it back together with the little multiple teeth at the end fully seated back into the square holes, engaged, good shape to them

Rebuilt my calipers. Wow were they in bad shape. Far worse than I thought.
Took me about five hours to do the two calipers. Before assuming that I’m completely incompetent YES I did try to blow the pistons out with my air compressor but they wouldn’t move. Had to pry them out.
Glad I did it though because I found black/gray stuff in the fluid.
Just wish I would have known what I was in for, I would have bought refurb from the parts store and put the Toyota rebuild kit parts on.

I need to get my bleeder valves replaced…mine are stuck and preventing me from doing my BBK kit up front. Can’t bleed the brakes without the rear bleeders. :(

Kinda surprised they blew out the brake dust. That's not kosher in most shops.

Finally got around to removing the pelfreybilt swingout rear bumper that came on the truck and put the factory rear bumper back on to make it easier towing a trailer.

Just got this 2013 Sport. Spent a ton of time wiping down the interior while I wait for parts to arrive. Replaced the taillights as one had been superglued. Then removed the rusted on tow hitch.

How's the frame look? I only ask because of what the hitch and receiver look like. Kinda concerning.

Clean and inspect rear brakes, back in the old shop days, pop the drum off check to see if there were any hang ups, or that a pad had bad wear. slide a bucket up under the back end, blow a ton of brake cleaner into the whole system, inspect the inside of the drum itself, blast with brake cleaner. id hit them with a blast of air from the gun to make sure all the crap was out. then put it all back together, force a lube tech to climb into the car run it back up a bit then have them lock the parking brake up make sure it didn't rotate. then adjust for just a bit of drag with the foot resting on the brake pedal then adjust the star gar as needed. same could be done on emergency brakes on rear rotors too, and are often at least in my mind checked way less then old school drum brakes.

The frame looks really good as Toyota replaced it about a year ago, and the hitch did not. I'm thinking about just replacing the whole hitch receiver.
About to do the brakes, the rotors are grooved and caliper pins are rusted in.
