Was about to reply to the guy asking for info on ABS sensor delete and ran into a wall over at wits-end.com. Joey is a stand up guy. I know there was something health related going on with his wife a few years ago. Anyone with any insight? Hopefully he returns one day.

I know quite a few here have sent their business his way. In addition to his ABS sensor delete plugs/plates, I grabbed his seal driver tool. Fit perfectly.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
Rotated the lower mount down about 20° should give me about an inch more uo travel.

Mount is still not slung below the axle (which is what I'm trying to avoid)

Joey didn’t deliver on a bunch of FZJ80 turbo kits that people preordered. A few guys took him to court. I’d make sure don’t lose your rights as a buyer if you buy anything from him, or may be added to that long list of those scammed.

Wow, did not know that. Did not strike me as that kind of guy, very surprising. I had a couple of orders with him back in Aug 2022 when I was working on the 4WD swap. One of them was delayed (through no fault of his own) but after reaching out he made it right. His wife was going through issues or maybe he had lost her, I don't really recall.

What you mentioned though, too bad. Hopefully he gets his shit sorted.

No issues with Home Depot employee when I asked him to create 2 new keys from the blank Toyota original keys I ordered from ebay. He told me because I brought my own original keys, there was no charge.

Both feel the exact same, but at least they’ve got fresh fluid. Wayyy past overdue on both.

New shocks. The bushings on the front ones were in pretty rough shape.

If that is OME they will send you fresh bushings.

Thank you, that's good to know. Yes, they are OME. I replaced them with identical OME shocks, so, I will keep that in mind for the future.

    5th leaf re-installed.
    Lower shock mounts relocated.
    Bump stop pads lowered.
    Limit straps mounts finished.
    Straps measured and ordered.
    Hydrobump pressure adjusted.

That's pretty much the list of things I identified, on the test runs, that needed adjustment.

I thought I may need to shorten the shackles when I added the leaf back in (because I though the leaf may lift me too much). But I'm only at a 2.5 inch rake, unloaded, and without it setting and settling. The 7 inch shackles give me the perfect amount of droop. The leafs droop out at almost the exact same point the shocks droop out. The limit straps will still be there for an "oh shit moment" though.

The up travel goes to full bump .5 inch before the shock bottoms out.

Giving me 5.5 up travel and 8 down travel.

Put the General Springs HD leafs on and now it sits about 2 inches higher in the rear. Which will be perfect if I can ever find a camper shell to fit!

Also replaced CV axels with some off of Rock Auto, since no OEMs are available for the foreseeable future.

Went ahead and did shocks and coil springs. They were all OEM.

Next up: bushings for the gear shifter (loose and wobbly); cleaning the passenger side window switch so it rolls up again. Currently only rolls up from the driver side.
