Honestly, agreed. With the new 4cyl and these prices, whats the advange the new Tacomas have over the Ranger Raptor and its TTV6?

I honestly think the turbo 4s will be fine interms of reliability, but there is obviously still grey area, especially with the hybrid. Rangers TTV6 is a hell of a lot less complicated for (likely?) cheaper. I see MSRP for the Raptor at $55k.

I see tuned Explorer ST's beating trackhawks at the drag strip, and I can't help but wonder the aftermarket prospects for the same engine in the Ranger. Has me very excited. I have no concerns about the 4cyl hybrid reliability. It's not Toyota's first rodeo making a turbo engine or hybrid drivetrain

I mean at that point most sane people would just replace it with a stock height aftermarket suspension, or lift it.

Might be because I am in Oregon too, but I like to see videos of inventory and discounts in my area. When I see a Toyota with a tempting discount that’s when I will make a trip to that dealer.

I am also looking for a new car for my wife. Lil Kenny has a video with $17,500 off a BZ4X. That’s tempting but my wife does not want an all electric vehicle.

I also think its pretty lame you can no longer get an Access Cab with the Off-Road package or the new hybrid set up. That is what I would be interested in should I get a 4th gen.

Hey now, the frame might finally have been done right so it doesn't rust away in a few years like usual for Tacomas.

I haven’t seen a single xtracab, are they just putting that off until the next year or will they quietly bury them and pretend they never existed?

    IMG_5516.jpg

This looks fine. They just need to offer one for less than 30k.

What a price, can't believe I was dumb enough to even consider that I could afford a TH. Numbers must show they can lose thousands of sales each year and still make more than ever because of these prices. Maybe those of us not in Colorado and California will get lucky and after a few years they underperform on sales and are sitting on lots

I paid around $59k for my 2024 Tundra Platinum... these Tacoma Pro prices are crazy, but about what I expected. Anyone just had to look at the new Tundra price increase to see what the new Tacoma would do.

And honestly they'll still sell as there is still a market that will want the Tacoma over the Tundra and even the bro'd out ridiculous priced one. But I do feel like Toyota has lost a grip with reality and its core customer. I'm sitting this one out, I casually have been browsing 2020-2021 Tundras, maybe my next truck.
