This is just totally dumb, but is there any benefit to a “lower-profile” spring perch on the axle? That would keep the axle closer to the springs, which shift your max bump/droop spot, right?

I suppose it would gain you a little bit. But as it is I can’t even get my pinky between the centering pin and tube. So you might be able to get another 3/16 lol

Well, I only lost maybe 3/4” of uptravel. Sitting at a 40% up 60% down. But the front needs lighter coils. Which I already planned on as I removed a bunch of weight up there. So really I may not have lost any rear uptravel once the truck is leveled out some.

Realistically, how much of a difference would notice from a 2.0 to a 2.5? (Shock fade wise)

I know our trucks aren't the heaviest, nor the lighest so I'm curious

Depends on how hard you’re pushing your truck; that will directly affect the oil temperature.

2.5 , more oil and bigger reservoir helps cooling

It’s a huge difference. And the build quality between the two is also usually a big difference. Sometimes my 2.5’s aren’t even enough.

These are my old 2.0's with about 350k miles on em with a few seals blown over the years from excessive heat. See the top of the body how its blued and discolored compared to the bottom of the body? That's where the piston was at at normal ride height , these shocks would make your fingers blister if you touched them. Id stay away from 2.0s if you can

For only slow speed stuff, meh.
Since you’re going LT and gonna be fast in NV, 2.5 for sure.
My 3.0 in the rear even gets hot at times with chatter.
My two 2.5’s in the front will get warm but not hot so far.

Yeah I was only curious because I found some 2.0 coilovers for a steal. Ill still end up going with 3.0 bypasses on all 4 corners

2.0's often have different extended and compressed lengths than 2.5's (for the same shaft length) so that will be something you need to take a look at as well if getting 2.0 coilovers and need to get a longer rod end / top hat.

    Whole lotta stuff
So put in the Mitchmade carrier bearing. I cannot drive over 40mph on the highway without the truck violently vibrating. 90% sure my driveshaft is messed up but hopefully I’ll know more soon. It did like to go through OEM bearings every 30k miles.

Edit: by "messed up," I mean the driveshaft may be out of balance. Never had a vibration this bad before. Solid bearings amplify issues though

I tried a solid bearing once, they are no bueno for daily driving. Even if your driveline is perfect you will still feel it in your seat…
