Appointment getting pushed back; they need to find an office/clinic that can make the exception of having a child present

I barely recently found the time and motivation to do the brakes, I'm not touching that seal until I have to lol.

don't look forward to how finicky that damn thing is lest it continues leaking, at least now it's manageable

    Ha I hear ya

I bought the pads last year when I first got the GX; not that I needed to do them or anything but saw that the pads were halfway worn so why not

Need to buy a jack though, or maybe borrow the one I bought for my FIL (since my MIL doesn't use it and my brother in law doesn't know how to work on cars so I know he won't use it)

Yeah I still had some brake life left, but a few months ago when I slammed the brakes and the caliper seized up for a bit it somehow bent the little metal pad life indicator so that it was constantly pressing into the rotor. So I was driving around for weeks sounding like one of those assholes that just ignores the fact that their brakes are nearly gone lol. Finally convinced me to just replace it all

I don't know if it was the pads the PO used or those dumb drilled/slotted rotors, but it had a really bad brake shudder especially on the highway. Finally gone now thank christ

I still can't believe you don't have a floor jack haha, just grab one from HF? Mine's served me well for 5 or 6 years now

apparently they have some kind of off-road one now too? Spendy though by HF standards

You think I was gonna go back to run into my ex to pick up my old jacks? I left both of them there along with all my jackstands

I just use ramps for Stephanie's car or any other rig here at home

When I did the Land Cruiser suspension, I did it at a buddy's house and I'm glad I did cause he had the super tall jack stands

Fucking Land Cruiser kept it's wheels on the ground no matter how high you lifted it :bananadead:

Gonna have to slot Oklahoma above that personally.
(AR is rough, but I have enjoyed Petit Jean while passing though)

Yeah a proper 4x4 body-on-frame pickup the size of a Maverick (or smaller) would be a wonderful thing.
