So there is no change when the throttle is opened, it just keeps idling?

 

You can hear a tone change, but rpm goes nowhere

 

A few years ago (1980's ) we bought a new Lawn Boy 2 cycle mower, the dealer dropped it off and it seemed to run a bit rich - he said it was just because it was a cold day.

After about an hour of running it quit - the plug was fouled, took it back. He changed the plug and adjusted the carb (like he should have done originally) and off we go.

For another hour or so... Fouled the plug again & again.

The mower got a lot of miles in the car and the dealer replaced all kinds of stuff but the problem remained. The next door neighbor happened to notice that the plug # in the book was different than the one in the mower.

Turns out this mower was a brand new model, very similar to the older ones but not identical. When he changed the first plug he just grabbed "the one all these take" and kept putting the wrong one in time and again.

 

Put a new eBay bought carb on our old generator today.....Purrs like a kitten. Carb with gaskets and a new fuel cutoff valve was just over $13 shipped. The 3 inches of new fuel line cost me $5.

 

I have my doubts about Tennessee as well. I think they should, but that doesn’t matter much.

 

What advances timing?

Woke up ruminating on the ROW BS. I’m now thinking a motion for a Declaratory Ruling that the ROW is extinguished based on a plain reading of his deed or any other number of recognized means such as adverse possession by us for over 20 years, abandonment by him, lack of necessity, lack of purpose. We have an appointment with our attorney next week so we’ll see…

Google is an amazing tool.

Remotely related, @Kbar , I came across some case law up here in NH about compelling others to pay for maintenance of a ROW even though the documents setting it up doesn’t mention it at all. You might want to consider looking to see if your state has something similar.
