My V6 is almost gutless, and yes I know the turbo 4 cyl is supposed to be on par with the V6, I will never, ever, never trust the tiny little turbos that go on 4 cylinder engines. They are just too delicate and fragile. The only exception would be a very hunky diesel engine, like a Cummins 4BT or it's newer cousin. And we all know the likelihood that Toyota will ever again sell a diesel in the US.......

I won't even discuss my feelings about hybrid or all electric vehicles

But each of us have different preferences, and different needs from their vehicles, and I would never claim that someone else has the same opinions/needs as I do. So if the new model works for you, then you made a good choice.

My decision to get a hybrid wasn’t based on environmental concerns, power or gas mileage.
It was based on the fact that it’s hot as hell in my part of the country. Even at night. My many sleepless nights in a rooftop tent on the Taco convinced me that a/c was a necessity. Hybrids are basically a very efficient and quiet generator on wheels. With climate control. I sleep very comfortably on the road in my Prius. I don’t think it’s possible in the Tacoma without some heavy modding. The seats are too short.

Just got done replacing a fence post.
It had rotted and snapped off about 6" below ground level.
Somehow the job seemed harder than it used to be
