I hear you on that one.

1.5 acres is lovely, but I have less time to tend to the yard as I get older. My 24-year-old mower has been having electrical problems. I still haven't had time to track them down, but I can't complain. Kohler twin is still running strong (annual oil and filter changes). My Shindaiwa weed eater has lasted 20 years. I do not have a clue if new ones are as good, but it was a commercial weed eater, and I went through cheap ones annually.

A local company gave us a reasonable estimate, so it's time to let them keep it up until this place is sold.

I was snacking on carrots and hummus. It was a good, healthy snack, but the carrots were slippery. You know what doesn't feel right, but you are distracted doing other things while I snacked away. Finally, I stopped and realized white spots and slim. Uh oh. I pitched the rest of my carrots (a pre-slice bag; hint: stick with baby carrots).

Always nice to do your own maintenance. Out of curiosity, do you have a lift to get the bike up off the ground to do maintenance work?

Beautiful sunrise. Your back yard looks inviting and restful.

HVAC company coming out this afternoon to get the AC unit ready for the summer.

Good morning. Music lesson today and going to smoke some pork steaks for dinner.

    Good morning all.

I have a Harbor Freight table lift at home but the host of the tech day did not. My lower back did not feel good for the first few days afterwards.

No shit......The 2 guys that did the bulk of the work are both over 70! Ray has probably forgotten more about bikes than most people bothered to learn.

Thanks! I have a pie slice shape acre. The back I have let grow wild and only mow a trail around it and a trail out to the bird feeders. It has around two dozen bird houses and one owl house (so far no owl I’m aware of, but I noticed a couple of sticks protruding). I mow it totally in the fall once all the native grasses have reseeded. Occasionally we have a red fox visit. A large redtail hawk had caught a rabbit a couple of weeks ago. It returned three times to finish the rabbit off.

Oh this is going to be a gorgeous day! Plan is kettlebells, then put my archway back up after refinishing it, and finally cleaning the screened porch if I have enough energy left. I need to get that porch done so we have a place for morning coffee to watch the sun rise. It’s also my summertime napping place and a glass of red wine occasionally in the evening. We can see the bird feeders and hummingbird feeders as well as bird bath from it. A very mellow spot to relax.

Have a healthy fun day everyone! Stay healthy! Stay busy!

I like the trailer too... but I have two criteria that are more important to me than showers or just about any amenity... a REAL queen size mattress and I have to be able to stand up in the trailer. I've built a couple of trailers and bought a couple of commercially made, but the commercial trailers don't ever have a real mattress. The home made trailers lack a lot but in the end the mattress is more important than what they lack. I'm considering building one again, but there are some things I'd like and I'm not knowledgeable about how to do those things and the learning curve is a little too steep at this point.

Well, yank all of the carpeting, vinyl plank flooring, and floor tile, replace with solid hardwood throughout the living spaces, and a nice porcelain tile for the bathrooms and kitchen (my wife and I are still debating on hardwood or tile in the kitchen). Yank all of the cabinets in the kitchen and go with some high rise cabinetry which will give us lots of storage space (I like my kitchen stuff), and of course, a new high capacity refrigerator. Not sure if fifty-grand will cover it, but that is my rough budget.

:pccoffee: Good morning Porch Pals & Sue! Well, I have a second temporary, and like a couple of you, had the AC people over to do the Spring inspection. They will be here around noon with a new compressor unit for outside. :spending::spending::spending:

Can't win, but I can get another cup of coffee.

Well, pros put in AC, says it's made in Texas, and I got 20 years.....

Have to be even skinnier to sneak by!

I finally finished greenhouse pumps and drips. Within 2 weeks, I'll be fixing drips! But I put them at the bottom this year!
