If it's that bad you need to pull it and get it balanced/evaluated.

Lowering the carrier simply puts the angles out at the t-case. By chance are you still on stock engine and trans mounts? Find it hard to believe it’s a bad shaft if you didn’t have vibes before the carrier install.

The floating carrier bearing hides vibrations similar to moving to solid motor mounts increases vibrations in the cab.

I might be interested in buying it off you if end up looking to sell it in the near future.

I run a Ranger center support bearing setup and haven’t really been impressed with that either.

I mean it might, but I can still feel a vibe from a U-joint that is just starting to go bad.

Check according to figure 9. That’s what has worked for me. Had nasty vibrations and used this to make most of it go away. Never got around to correcting my pinion angle before chopping my truck in half. Pinion angle down 2 degrees has been common practice to anticipate it rotating up under load.

Yep, taking it back to the shop tomorrow and they’re gonna drop the shaft. I’m going to try and get under the truck and check some angles this afternoon.

Stock engine and trans mounts. It had a growl I could hear and feel in the roof and cab before but not nearly as extreme as this. I’m suspecting the driveshaft wasn’t indexed last time the u-joints were changed, that’s when I first noticed it. That was 3 yrs ago, and suffice it to say I no longer use that shop anymore. They were like “no it’s fine.”

Thanks for that, I’ll compare that with my setup

Looks so much better already! Let’s us know what the changes do in terms of the “anti squat” issues you mentioned earlier. I’d think you’ll see improvement there too with the new shackle angles

I will definitely keep things updated. I’m making a shackle hanger change (making my own) and it will be a wrap. I will say it’s noticeably more plush already just doing the push test.

HOA camouflage has been working for weeks already. Some black painted 2x4s to hang the bedsides on and roll the tires into position. can't tell from the road :)

Thanks! Best little work truck I've ever had. Super fun to drive too.

Just means you can tuck tires inside the fender easier and won’t get as many flyers

Much prefer that over the big shoulders skinny waist look of bigger glass up front with tiny glass in rear. 35's and some 2" wheel spacers and you'll be set.

    Calling all JD SUA guys.

What is your current uptravel to full bump (from ride height) looking like? And what spring? H70 or H70hd.

Wouldn’t mind hearing this number for other kits as well.

Loaded with me in the driver seat my weights are 2740 front, 2720 rear, 5460 total.
37s and methods that are 103lbs together when new
18" 500 lb springs, 10" from inside pivot to coilover, 8" from coilover to lbj pivot which takes effective rate to 277
coilover is at a 15 degree angle at ride height which takes 277 rate down to 267 calculated rate at the wheels

So approximate 1150-1200 ish sprung corner weight with 267 lbs/in spring rate

I have ~2" of preload on the actual extended spring, not just 2" down to the nut from the top of the shock
