Finally got around to installing the new intake…fumbled around with the MAF wire clips just long enough to get rained on…

Is the TRD airbox physically bigger than the OEM?

Same size. It retains the lower airbox, just the upper and hose that are different

I actually bought new button-head bolts to replace the flange bolts. It seems like the flange bolts won't be very "slidey" compared to a button head. I also bought shorter bolts for the rubbing areas. I tried a tubing bender but, it would not fit up in the space to bend the brake lines. I'll figure it out. Maybe some teflon tube shielding or something...gotta' measure the diameter of the lines and hit McMaster Carr.

Modified these to work with the rocky slidey bar thingys. Added Ti hardware to them for undercarriage race car weight savings.

I have a question, it might be a dumb question but I am going to ask anyway. I took my truck in to the dealership to get my squeaky clutch fixed (covered under my warranty) and they put me in a 2023 SR while mine gets fixed.
Now to the question, would the air controller unit be swappable between 2016-2019 with the 2020-2023?

I only ask about the SR because I have a manual and don't need the push start button hole. I like the look of the "newer" style way better and the fact it has dual climate control, but I also figure that is why this might not be able to be done..

Initial testing shows I should get around 3.5 days of run time without supplementing it with solar or charging during travel.

The one on the bottom is dual zone option, not a model year change. My 2019 has dual zone.
As far as I’ve read you wouldn’t be able to just install the climate panel and have it work

I got a sticker and some cool valve stem caps...
This has been a few days coming. Monday I leveled out my Tacoma with Bilstein 5100's. I did the 3rd notch for 1.1" in the front. I also did the Headstrong 1/2" shim on the rear driverside leaf for the taco lean.

Today I got Falken Rubitrek AT 265/75r16 installed, along with an alignment. I was dead set on the Wildpeak at4w's but I found a smoking deal in the Rubitreks. The at4w was $214 and the Rubitreks $161 each. Very happy with the decision.

with a baby, 14 year old and a GSD, the taco is just too small.
Toyota offered me 32k cash, or 35k with trade in. going to try and sell private party since I'm in no hurry to sell.

Same question - opposite direction. I have a ‘23 SR with the dual zone controls. Can I swap in the older manual controls? What problems or issues would @Shiro213 and I run into if we swapped controls?

I definitely want this visual upgrade. lol

Seriously, it may JUST make a slight difference in overall performance but I think it looks great.

I have a 2019 TRD Sport and it didn't come with the dual zone. WTH Toyota? I thought it was a change that came with the 2020 models like the electric seats.

Bought mine used but I believe you have to have the “tech” pakage. BSM, adaptive cruise and such to get dual zone. Could absolutely be wrong though

I took my 4Runner (RIP; thanks son) to Goodyear for a tire rotation and their new tech backed it into another car. So two claims off of a free service, and the new tech was out job hunting again.

My '22 TRD OR has dual zone climate controls; no tech package. I think it was part of the TRD trims for that year (as the only "options" my TRD OR came with were floor mats and door sill covers).

If we lived closer we could just test it. Lol
When I installed my AJT 4wd knob, the installation video had a dual zone and they looked to be the same hookup that mine has. When I pick my truck up, I'll ask the service advisor if he knows.
