Reset the "It's been 47 days since I had a donut" clock!

 

What about running it for a minute without the lower unit on, just to eliminate anything on that side? You won’t have any water but just to idle it and rev it (or not) real quick it shouldn’t bother. Just a thought.

 

The neighbor asked if I would do a service on her mower. I did one a few years ago, and have offered since (it's always free), I think she doesn't like to ask and had someone else do it. It's a grasshopper, and has a goofy deck that I always struggle to figure out how to get it to fold. I think the last guy gave up.

 

I was going to use electrical tape but the full wrap wouldn’t have been good.




Hit myself with the arbor press handle when the part broke I was trying to bend. It was bleeding good but finally quit. The cut behind the bandaids is where I hit it under the deck Saturday

 

Dadgum blinded by the reflection on that thing, give me a warning Ida thrown on some shades before looking there.

Ladies used to beat me up too about my baldness but I showed them. I love my new cut and they really seem to like it too...

Boss man had just left and I was here by myself, glad it wasn't any worse

 

Neighbor said she had oil, filter, and air filter sitting on the mower for me. Changed the oil and filter, pulled the air filter which has a foam pre filter and still looks great so I left it. Picked up the box with the air filter in it and it felt too heavy. Opened the bag, its a drive belt for the deck. I remembered telling her it was shot a few years ago, looked, it's still the same one barely hanging on! Changed the belt, it's way too long. I scrounged around and found this bracket in my treasure chest. Had to cut off a tab and drill a hole, but I was pretty happy I found that! If the right belt ever comes along, just unbolt the bracket and put the adjuster back where it came from, in the hole the bracket is bolted through.

I also figured out the mower probably hasn't been serviced since I did it last, because the oil she gave me to use has my writing on it.

 

I only liked that out of support - we all have been there, colorful words and all.



There is something about hitting your head that is a direct line to the "fury" setting.

The only other thing that will ramp the anger up close to that fast is repeatedly pulling the rope on a small engine.

Probably time to replace, although I think it looked like that a couple of years ago. Some people have all the luck.

 

Anyone who has tried to pull start a 3 wheeler knows the instant pain/ fury of having the cord ripped out of your hand faster than you can say ow!

 

There is just something about pulling that rope that makes you get more and more angry with every pull.

It seems every B&S small engine I have with a manual start is a to get restarted when hot.

 

Driving in to work this morning, a guy was trying to fire up a concrete saw. It didn't appear to be going well.

 

Take that, my age group!

 

When you're finished with those bandaids we could sure use them at the prize warehouse, we aint had any good biohazards in months!!

Progress, but the most frustrating kind... changed nothing from yesterday to today. But now you can get about 1/3 throttle..
