    Cheers and welcome!

I did blues at AOAA with that setup, so, you're good :spy:

Yeah an estimate is fine, you aren't at +400 and you aren't at +0. Bringing an extra gallon of water with you on a trip can offset the estimate, so whatever.

You're "lifting" the same way I'm "not stock" tire size. I am +1" DIA because there were a million options in this size. E load, but whatever.

You'll get a lift out of it, but you're still well within "not f'in up everything" lift, and it's not the end goal, but a side effect.

Long of the short, you ain't going for this

4x's front skid is 1/4. So probably more in the ballpark of 80 lbs. Trans/ tcase is 3/16 so I'd expect in the ballpark of 35-40 lbs each.

Assuming sliders and full skids(not gas tank) you are probably in the ballpark of + 300 lbs before anything else goes in the truck.

    Id go heavy

Would an extra bottle of whiskey work instead?

Yup, would *love* to do that with my GX sometime down the line, just need the money and a good body shop that are willing to tackle it. Maybe if we import a few we can get a discount? Haha

    Welcome!

5160s are a remote resi pretty "higher up there" shock.

Supposedly the stock Taco off road shocks are 4600s, I don't really know what that means. But they're a wildly different shock. Probably sourced from different suppliers, and assembled differently, and behave differently.

Auxbeam people, I forget if I already asked but you guys use a prefabbed tray to hold everything? If you got a sec, can I see a pic of how you have it setup in the engine bay?

I have mine mounted underneath my driver-side seat and ran 2 4-gauge (red and Black) wires from the battery, through the firewall, into the truck. Personally I think it made it easier to run all of the wires for everything I needed to run. I can see if I can grab a pick of it later today.

I would also love to do it. Super OEM clean look to it. Think it’s the best way for a rear full size setup. I like your setup for sure but this would be mint. I have a friend whose family owns a body shop in NH that has done work for me before. I might explore this some more honestly.

@super_white I am helping a friend replace the exhaust manifolds on a gx470. Apparently the studs will break more than likely.

Do you have a way to get a part number for those exhaust manifold studs?

I know its prob a little more than you want to shell out, but being progressive, having a huge range of adjustment on the fly and rebuildable is a game changer. The old buy once cry once lol. Might be worth waiting to pull the trigger on.

I can’t set my self up to have to take shocks off every 30 to 50k and ship them off to be rebuilt.

I am still trying to figure out how much of an issue the leaking is. I’ve been reading up on the 81??s. From what I can gather, I should 100k from them.
