Check your policy's deductible. They seem to be running 500 to 2500 right now. Stop by a reputable body shop and see if they can give you a guesstimate. If you want it perfect, insurance might be the way to go and bite the deductible bullet. If a few bruises are acceptable, pop it out with a basketball and touch it up with some Duplicolor. Get your girlfriend to help you. Make it a bonding exercise.

    Cheers.

Thanks for the help guys, I appreciate it! Insurance is gonna take care of everything somehow. I even get a rental car :D

I wonder if they'll let me get some aftermarket fender flares lol, any recommendations on fender flares that would look good? I do plan on putting 37's with a long travel kit on this truck. Was my dad's truck so it's very sentimental, I will have this truck for the rest of my life.

When I got rear ended....might be different for your case.....I got the other guys insurance to pay me to do the work.

I had to take the truck in for an inspection. I was suppose to get a rental but Enterprise took one look at me and denied me. Even though the guys insurance was gonna pay for it, Enterprise still denied me so good luck.

The inspection was for brand new parts from Toyota. I took the money and banged my rear bummer back into shape. That might be the way you can get some money to do the frame alterations you're gonna need for 37's. Good Luck.

Though some people are stupid enough to think this would work, an appraiser will know immediately that it's a lie.

    back to bone stock.
that is a garden variety of body damage. low hanging fruit for a body shop. the big question is: is your 2005 fully covered for this?
