I'd remove the rear bed rack. Prevents me from putting a topper on. But I don't have to worry about this because I don't make the kind of money that would allow me to buy the trailhunter. My 23 Taco was low 40's new and I thought that was too much money!

Same sentiment. Bed rack roll bar thing is hideous, and like the other poster stated it’s in the way of where a topper would be for me. The dorkel is just dumb. No way around it. Not an easy one to remove and sell either. Opens the door for Toyota to void some warranties as well should you remove it and later have any engine/powertrain issue.

Are you sure it's standard? In the configurator, it's a $1450 option. Of course the configurator could be wrong at this point.

That is exactly what I did. The sad part is, it was sold today. So someone grabbed it right after me for that markup. I’ll Uber before I pay $15k over the manufacturer’s suggested price. This is the kind of bulls**t that needs to get cracked down on…price gouging.

Most Tacomas I see have either a RTT on overhead bed frames, or a capper of some sort.

My Titan also has the option of that thing like the TH Tacoma, nobody kept that on the Titan either. It's in the way of everything that everybody wants to do. Toyota would've been better off including the overhead bed frames (sorry, don't know the correct term) that can support a RTT as that seems the most popular. I never see people buying that rear bed rack and adding it aftermarket, WTF Toyota?

I forgot about the lower entry level price on the Colorado which will help sales. Seeing how both GM and Ford no loger sell a BOF midsize SUV and haven't for sometime. Ranger and the twins offer an option for buyers of that segment. Ranger with its fixed roof probably appeals to more buyers than Bronco.

What class is the Bronco? I figured it was midsize.

It is, but it's more like a Jeep with a removable hard top or convertible top.

I just paid (2 weeks ago) $51,000 for a 2022 Pro, 18k mi.. The dealer gave me a copy of the original sticker- 54k. And I was more than happy to drive the 1-1/2hrs to pick it up.

When I worked in outdoor retail, we called them
Someone at Toyota corporate probably thought it looked "cool" and "rugged". The overhead bed frames would've been a win for alot of people, for sure.

I don’t understand that line of reasoning. Some people do buy them.

When Toyota stops making them, Toyota assumes the people who want a certain type of truck will just buy whatever is left available, some people might do that, some people might walk away, some people might completely change what kind of vehicle they’re going to buy.

But something selling LESS than a popular model doesn’t mean nobody is buying. I wish the focus group sick sigma executives would realize this.
