I heard from my Rural Letter Carrier ;)
that the town road crew walked out - all 3 of them.

They left my backhoe across the road - but no key... :pout:

The road was all rutted and had tracks from the excavator plus a lot of rocks.

Fired up the elderly Ford, added a bit of down pressure to the blade, not pretty but it helped.

    KIMG3938.jpg

Two hours later things are a bit smoother.

    KIMG3939.jpg

Fortunately they left me the culvert pipes, I can move some rocks & dirt to bury them.

    KIMG3940.jpg

I'm glad they did all the ditch work before they left.

This is why I doubled the joist where my joints are, so I’d have plenty of meat for the screws.

The hardest pass ever! Last Yota sale, I stocked up on a few OEM cabin filters at around $19, $15 looks like a good deal..

Good morning and welcome to the weekend everyone :hattip: New wheels and tires for today. I’ll post the obligatory before and after pics

Alright let me tell you about the Safelite. They call setup with the wife, tell her the only way for the full warranty is to buy their new wiper blades. Because if her old blades scratched the glass no warranty. 2 new Subaru/Safelite blades $70.00:eek:. Now that's a racket.
And as we all know I'm not too handy, but I can change some wiper blades .

Good morning guys, have a great Saturday!

Having another cup of coffee before I fire off the mower for the last leaf bagging session. It would be so nice if all the oak leaves fell at the same time down here

Made a trip to the Mart of Wal and picked up the cabin air filter. The only one they had was $20 (parts store was $24) but that's still better than $80.

Walmart's 5Qt Mobile1 0W-16 is $13 cheaper than the parts store. Oil filters were cheaper, too - $4.14 vs $10.99 for the PH4967. Granted, I went with the XG4967 for $8.97 instead, but that's still cheaper than the parts store.

Picked up two 5Qt jugs of 0W-20 full synthetic from Costco for, I believe, $28.

Then I got home and checked my oil change stickers. Both vehicles aren't due for another month. Oh, we'll. At least I have everything ready!

I stalk the Mobile 1 Rebates and get the 5 qt jugs. I also buy OEM filters by the case when ‘yota has sales. Same with bulk crush washers (but I’m thinking with the fluid evac contraption, maybe just sucking it out without dealing with the plug). I estimate my full synth oil changes to be under $30 per change and do it 2 times a year, Spring and Fall, regardless of mileage. Yankee thrift through and through.

I’ll have another 2 years of supply after this Spring’s change
