That's awesome! Thanks for sharing. I am definitely not as flexible as I once was, so I should probably be doing this type of stuff as well.

This kind of ties in with the other conversation going on here, too. I just did 5100's on my taco. I'm at a point in my life where I was just gonna have a shop do it. I figured... shocks and struts... they can't want more than $250-300 tops. They wanted $1357!!!!! I bought them for $468 and did it myself. No biggie, easy job. The next day I had no pain and felt great, besides the hangover. I did my mustang suspension myself in 2020, pre stretch routine. And I could barely move for 3 days. It works, just takes time and commitment.

When I first started doing yoga back in the 60's my teacher used this book for beginners. Have gifted it to dozens of folks over the years.

Took a quick look at the ICECO site, most of them are under 21" height. Lots of options there on shape, lid configuration, color, etc. Take your pic, they have worked well for me.

Rago battery box is pretty bombproof. That Redarc fridge kit you linked before will pair well with whatever battery you install in that 2nd battery spot, and it has the shunt to monitor state of charge which is perfect. You should be good with that plan!

Become a yoga instructor and get paid for it!

Anyone wanna do hot yoga together on the next outing?

In all seriousness, PSA - make time to move your body/lift heavy things, prep/cook healthy meals, drink alcohol in moderation, and get your bloodwork annually. I've personally seen the opposite too many times in my family, especially among men, as if not doing the work to take care of yourself is a badge of honor or toughness...only for it to catch up with them when it's too late. Gotta pick your pain - the pain of improving or of sedation.

    Soap box over!

Good to know I am on the right track. I went directly to the ICECO site after I read your post about choosing a fridge 1st. Seems the VL45 has really good reviews, will suit my needs and has been added to the "stuff-to-buy" list. I'm considering getting a sliding tray for the fridge, too. It could weigh 100 lbs loaded, I can see the utility of a sliding tray, but it may burn up my clearance.

Next up, a battery. The little info I find dictates that I should use a "group 34" battery, 'cause it's a little shorter in height. And that I should get a lithium battery for the longer life and shorter charge rates. Am I correct here, or did I misunderstand something? Anyway which lithium battery should I get?

My friend who is going with me on this trip, called this morning and started discussing vaccines, visas, sat phones, burner phones, bandits and gas prices ($4 in Bogota) maybe take ALF on a boat ride to Miami on the way home.

If you are putting the battery under the hood, it is too hot for lithium so you'll have to use an AGM battery. X2Power Group 34 battery should work fine. Capacity on those is like 70Ah. Depth of discharge is 50-80% so the usable is like 35-50Ah depending how far you want to go.

If you change your mind and want to put the lithium battery inside the cabin then options open up.

Good point. I've always been the type to wait until something is wrong to go to the doctor. I haven't been to one since 2016, so I should probably go get an inspection soon.

I don't think it makes me tough. I'm pretty sure it makes me a dumb-ass.

Interior space will be at a premium. I'd like to keep the battery under the hood. I'm not totally opposed to putting a bat inside. But I don't what "options" you're referring to. Probably further down this rabbit hole than I need to go.
    Is this the one?

Yes that's the AGM battery I referred to. I think the X2 has the most Ah in that form factor. For a few bucks less you can get a group 34 Odyssey (which ironically are made by the same company) but they top out at like 60Ah.

Re: the "options" I am referring to with putting a lithium battery inside. Typical lithium batteries start at 100Ah and you can draw them down to close to zero without hurting (put a big asterisk on this, but more or less it's true). You can get a 100Ah lithium nowadays for not much more than that 65Ah AGM. So dollar for dollar lithium will give more usable power. The real question is does that matter for your application? If you are driving every day to charge it, and if interior space is at a premium, the answer is probably no. That's why I'm not going further in discussion on this - don't want to confuse you with an overload of options. If you change your mind and want more power, I can share more.

Also regarding that Redarc fridge power kit, I want to clarify my thought on it. I think for a plug and play kit that will work well and still give you the option to add solar later, it is a good kit. It is expensive but quality parts. There are definitely other options that exist for less money - if that's a big factor, you could keep researching. But I still think at the premium cost for that kit it may be worth it because "it will just work."

My summer madness has begun. Flatbed has to work for a living (that would be new McNiel fenders, college, camp for the youngest etc.) Camp Nebagamon this week and Camp Kawaga next. And so it goes until August...
