What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

It's one of those days.

 

I didn't have good measurements before install (it was sagging). I'm at 1/2" over stock measurements with 400 pounds in the bed now.

 

Didn’t come with one, cap just hangs when you fill up.

 

The factory one was the clip that holds the door closed. You would put the tether for the gas cap in the clip and that was Toyotas idea of a gas cap holder.

 

We can all stop modding our trucks.

That’s what I use, the clip for the door. Works just fine for me. I can see getting a mod for the gas cap if the tether breaks.

 

I didn’t like using the factory holder so I got a proper holder for mine.

 

mine came with this holder, very secure and never moves.......powered by gravity

 

Don't the steps cancel the functionality of the sliders? Not trying to be a jerk, just want to understand. Either way, nice work!

 

You have the function of a step for everyday driving, then when you go offroading you just unbolt the steps.

 

Once you get some serious trail rash and a couple nicks the OCD will subside.

Got wheels powder coated and installed. Tires rub but I think taking off the front flaps will be enough to remove. Wheels measure at 32".

 

Installed some black Tacoma Lifestyle sequential mirror signals. This was the one I dreaded most, taking the mirror caps off looked pretty rough. Once they’re started, they’re actually not bad…overall, took about twenty minutes to install.

Speaking of which, Mrs. BCHunter traded her 2019 TRD Sport Premium Tacoma today for a 2024 TRD Pro 4Runner.

Given I paid half, there may be some 80085 in my future.

 

Did you get them powder coated black or bronze?
