    Good morning,

The update is completed, and file building is in progress for all 3.5L NA 6AT calibrations.

The patience IS very much appreciated.

I wanted to post the feedback from an owner who just completed the Blackhawk tune and trial period with his GX470. His truck runs the 4.7 V8 the powertrain and Doug Thorley setup. Here's his review from my Google page and some great pics of his setup!

Prespective of a SC owner with the Stryker SC Tune from YotaWerx testing out daughter's NA Tacoma recently tuned with YotaWerx BH 2.0.

I am fortunate to have come in touch with Marc and YotaWerx Tuning when I needed a Tune for my self-installed Magnuson SC. Lets be honest = the Magnuson Tune(s) leave a lot to be desired. After 4 years of driving my SC Tacoma I got the opportunity to Tune and drive my daughter's Tacoma with YotaWerx's BH 2.0 tune for the 04B04. I was not surprised, despite all the BS that has been posted by an unhappy member, that the BH 2.0 Tune was as amazing as my SC Tune. It shifts on point, holds power and rpm, is responsive and makes the truck power-train drive as solid as a rock. I know Marc @mZiggy posted they are in the process of another BH release - Customer Service as expected and normal for YotaWerx, but the way the current BH Tune works for my daughter's 04B04 I can only say oh my lord! It just gets better and better! Big shout out of thanks and appreciation to all of the YotaWerx Team!

Got the updated BH 2.0 tune flashed last night. Thanks @tonered and @NomadicCypress !

I decided to try WW first, VERY IMPRESSIVE! Coming from an MT to an AT (I know I'm dumb) I've had a hell of a time with this stupid gear hunting AT. The original BH was good but had too sharp of a pedal and I couldn't get used to it. For the last year I've been running an old vF tune, and really been looking forward to BH 2.0.

I've only put on about 25ish miles. The drivability is Awesome, Low end torque is so ridiculously good (how did Toyota miss this?) And the shifting is great so far.

Gear selection and shifting is similar to how I would drive it manually (if you know what you're doing what more could you ask for;)) I really like how it's holding onto gears and not jumping to the next as soon as possible to try to get that extra .1-.2 mpg. Using low end torque to accelerate slightly instead of dropping a gear to gain 3-5mph is how it should be.

Looking forward to driving more and getting used to how the Tacoma should act from the factory. Thanks to @mZiggy , @Kevinpd325 and the YotaWerx team for the new tune!

I think all you have to do is email the YW team and they’ll send you a beta tune file.

6MT folks, what’s your preference on 2.0 AD or WW?

I’ll try again, first email went unanswered and the second as a reply all to the first included a question about the file rebuilding which was answered but nothing about the initial file request.

I'm personally on WW but i'm a fairly casual driver. Your tuner will let you try both though

Are these files the same as kdm max?

Been with them from early in but not been around awhile due to family situations.

These are not the same files, completely different tunes built in completely different ways by different people. If you can spare the time, I would highly recommend giving it a try!

I’m a prior KDMAX tuner brought over after YW bought out KDMAX. The tunes are different and as stated YW has their own tunes, developers, and tune strategies.

And its all in the tune strategy that makes YW special! Where KDMAX was a great drivability tune having good balance of low end torque, mid range, and top end I have to admit YW BH 2.0 is better.

YW in (my opinion they can correct me if I’m wrong) strategy and overall goals set themselves apart. The BH 2.0 produces class leading Dyno proven HP and TQ gains but provides it at a more usable RPM range of 2000-3200 RPM.

YW was able to gain 28 to 38 WHP and 5-11 WTQ (depending on fuel octane and blend). That may not seem like a lot until you considered where those ponies come in at.

Somehow (credit their developers) YW BH 2.0 tune peak Torque comes in at 3200 RPM.

Why does this matter? When you considered a Stock 3rd Generation Tacoma’s Torque peaks at 4800 RPM. YotaWerx moves the low end TQ down almost 1500 RPM’s, That’s a massive difference! Almost feels like forced induction when it kicks in.

That’s real world usable TQ in an RPM we all drive in everyday, a different you can feel (butt Dyno) and proven on the Dyno!

I loved KDMAX Pro 10 and it was a great tune but the BH 2.0 amazes me :spending:

Yup the low end Tq was what got me on BH 1.0/OG. Still very happy with 1.0 WW. I've been sitting on the 2.0 tune files for too long. Got the truck on the tender and going to flash 2.0 AD/AGM tonight, might have to update VFtuner as its been some time. Also got my Core Shifter in the mail today. Going to be a fun weekend.

If you're on vftuner version 1.7.3 I would stay on that an not update. Past that it gets a little dicey and has a couple bugs.
