I think I’ll wait for a good deal on the Milwaukee trimmer. My good friend gifted me $50 from HD towards it as I’m around maybe two weeks away of being one year sober. I was going to order it last night, but the wife already yelled at me for dropping decent cash on gym stuff yesterday haha. She did say “if you reallllyyy need it, order it”

Was at Home Depot Friday and they had a pair of level 1 cut protection hanging on the level 3 clearance hook. Guess somebody was able to get the deal. :annoyed:

I use the shit out of those everyday in my shop; I buy them in packs and they hold up well handling metal all the time

A lot of my pictures in the welding group have me wearing those gloves

The 209 seems like a better deal, no? I don’t need the charger but the battery and accessory may be worth it?

Bit the bullet and ordered the MW tracksaw. I saw a video that the WEN rails actually work with it and support the anti tip feature. They are on order and I'll report back if they actually work. You can get 2 of the Wen 55" rails for about half the price of a single MW one. I'm replacing an older Wen tracksaw that uses different rails and have had no issues with those rails so I'm pretty hopeful.

Anyone seen a decent deal on the mid torque 1/2” friction ring impact wrench? All the current combinations seem excessively expensive, or bundle unneeded extras.

While at HD the other day I picked up a portable fan.
upload_2024-5-1_5-35-56.jpgNice and quiet w 3 speeds and comes with a chord if you wanna plug it in. Now I got something small to set on my bench for welding fumes.

I just read through the last few pages of this thread. Sounds like the consensus is to avoid the Milwaukee right angle impact.

    Is that the case?

I already own the Milwaukee 3/8 stubby and the 1/2” Makita XWT18Z for tougher jobs. I just thought this would be a nice addition for tighter spots. I have a 3/8” version on order and I am second guessing it after reading some of the posts here.

    Thanks.

I am very happy with mine but I dont expect it to compete with my m12 stubby 3/8 impact.
