John is an awesome guy to work with and this was one hell of a deal.

One question though, for the AC guys, how did you take off the back seat (wall?) and wrap the leather/vinyl around the back head rests?

^ I started on top by the window, pulled and work my way around the whole wall. It's really easy and it will come off if you pry it. Once it's off you basically follow the same steps as the arm rests.

Sounds good, i appreciate the input.

As far as attaching the leather, would you recommend removing the old cloth and attaching the leather with glue to the plastic? or straight to the old cloth?

I removed the old cloth and used the best 3m adhesive they make for automotive purpose. I don't know what most people do but I did het some imperfections showing through. I would think that it would be easier with with the cloth left on but I could be wrong.

I would highly reccomend that you use a HEAT RESISANT sprayable adhesive. The guys and I are finding out quickly that here in Arizona that the 3M 77 isn't holding up to its 3M name. John

That sounds easy enough, i'm going to try with the cloth on first and if that fails then i can just rip it all off and try again. Thanks for helping me out Nightstr.
Arizona and Texas sun destroys 3m 77 and 90. Try using Loctite High strength, it's held up for almost a week on my doors.

Just curious if anyone has got the center console cover from redline and istalled it? I ordered one, and am having trouble getting the console back on after I wrap it with the leather.

I contacted redline and am waiting for their response. Let me know if any of you have got one and installed without any issues.

    Thanks,

Uhh... so does anyone know if Katzkin covers are compatible with seat-mounted airbags? I'm sure this has probably been discussed before but I'll be dipped in shit if I can find the answer with the search function...

Ya they should be fine. There's a strap on the inside of the leather that John had to re-attach to the airbag system when he put my covers on.

    Hi Ben,
Yes, the 2005-2008 patterned kits come with ABag straps. Pay attention to the way the straps from the factory cloth are removed and attach the new ones in the same manner. Super easy, just one bolt :) If however you do not have ABags then simply cut off.. Hope this helps, John

    Hey Guys,
Yesterday afternoon I just placed my first few orders through Katzkin with the opportunity to add logos. At this time they only offer TRD (1 color), TRD Sport (2 colors) and the Toyota symbol. I'm working with a fellow member who is interested in both TRD Supercharged and TRD Off-Road. I will keep you posted if this happens. Stay tuned for pics... John

    Awesome, thanks!

Yeah, I just read somewhere a few minutes ago that 2009+ Tacomas all come with standard seat mounted side airbags, so I guess it would make sense that Katzkin would accomodate airbag systems that come standard.
