Wish you could get a Pro without the Pogo seats and the two tone paint and glossy flares. Or a trailhunter without the desert air intake, rock rails and heavy armor. I like the high trim levels but it's too targeted of buyer. Plus it's really a bummer that so much interior storage is lost to hybrid batteries and JBL subwoofer.

I wonder if the 2025 will be any different than the 2024. There are usually token (at most) differences in the 2nd year, no?

Repairs could be very costly if hybrid cars break or blow up.

    Toyota has mastered hybrid technology.

How much of a difference in performance the hybrid system makes in Tacoma is still up for debate, but as far as I am concerned, its reliability is not.

Just get turbo engine. It is a bit cheaper and it has plenty of power.

I wish they'd put a proper v8 in it instead of a lawnmower engine with a snail on it. :burnrubber:

Agreed! I'd love to have a V8 instead of the under powered V6 i have.

Toyota builds the best hybrids in the world. I’m more confident in that system than the turbo engine.

I wonder if Toyota or the aftermarket can come up with a Iso-Seat Lock-Out kit which would replace the dampers (with a bracket or pin below the seat?) and allow you to remove the rear dampers and surrounding trim. That would allow you to have a more functional rear seat and then restore the Iso function when you sell.

Maybe the ISO seats contribute more to both the on and off road experience than everyone (including me) thinks.

It was my impression lockout was already designed in the product. The street setting and lever does that. At least that was my impression.

I was initially put off by the bulk but I am no longer worried about it. My dog is the only living thing that rides the rear seat. If we need more than two seats, we use the 4Runner.

Why do the ISO seats need to be stroke-locked when driving on the street?

    Asking because I don’t know.

    Thanks.
