With the exception of the "frame mount" rails that I modified, everything else is from scratch

Was doing the "face" with cardboard, followed by doing two separate pieces out of steel, and adjusting the final dimensions for a perfect fit

    20240428_103102.jpg

The top plate was the biggest waste of steel as I had misjudged it seeing as how I was trying to measure shit at a really odd angle directly off the truck (with no parts cut)

    20240428_121134.jpg

Because, from scratch lol I was off by about 1/2" :bananadead:

The frame mounts look like the one from overland under budget, bumper looks like it'll be nice though

It looks really good. You should make one for the 2nd gen next.

Yeah that's where Adrian got it from, the rails itself he bought/downloaded and sent to me

I shortened them, changed the height and adjusted a few other things

Also not going to use the bottom frame mount he uses, I'll incorporate my own with the frame mount

But I screwed the pooch on the top piece lol luckily we got plenty of steel

    And thanks!

    Bulk of it is done

    20240428_132147.jpg

First step is to weld the recovery points

Need to get some Baja lights to ensure the sort of clearance I need for mounting them; that'll allow me to move forward with creating the gussetting plates for behind the face

Then drilling the front license plate frame both for the license plate as well as the two LEDs provided

Then tack all the frontal pieces, ensure everything is aligned, and burn it in

I'll then start working on the "bottom" to close it up and provide a surface to scrape against when dragging against rocks

    Then onto finishing the wings
