Second pour of the night. I have not touched anything Wild Turkey since I was 17. I got sick on 101 so many times….damn!

decided to go with the crowd here and get Turkey back out in front. What an easy sipper this Kentucky Spirit is! Mild up front, apricots, cinnamon, even a bit of raspberry mid palate. The finish is so damned smooth. Nice lingering mild honey and sweet corn. Why have I ignored this for so long???

 

Here is a crazy one….Try Kings Peated Bourbon. It’s really complex, and not what you would expect for a bourbon (Whiskey)

Just cracked this guy. Oh man, it’s nice. Subtle up front, sweet, raisin and honey, with some cinnamon mid palate. Bit of proof on the back end, and almost a hint of sweet wine lingering. Damned good!

 

Oh man....it's so hard to get here in CO. I've squirreled away one bottle, and been afraid to crack it because I can't replace it anywhere near MSRP. Damn you.....I might just crack it tomorrow!

 

O.K., so you just made me run downstairs and fire up another glenncairn of EHT. I was holding out!

Tried posting this before but the pic was bad. I grabbed a Casey Jones Wheated Four Grain Barrel Pick this week that my local store did. I’ve never tasted the typical bottle, but the barrel pick is fantastic:

 

Never seen this before…..the hunt is on!

Anyone heard of Dark Art 10 yr Straight Bourbon? Cost was $175

 

I have been planning a bachelor party weekend on the Bourbon Trail next month for my brother. In preparation for discerning notes of different brands/ages I have been hunting for bottles locally a bit more than my normal search when I kill a bottle. As such the collection has grown substantially. I still find Woodford double oaked to be my favorite.

Hoping for a pour of double double next month when we are there.

I have a Casey Jones bourbon store pick that is fantastic too. Haven't tried any of their regular bourbons either.

 

These started showing up locally and curiosity got the best of me. Probably wouldn't get another, but not a bad pour

Yep, finshed/blended MGP. I have not seen the 10 year yet. They had it next to a bottle of Magnus…and I picked up the magnus…also MGP
