Finally off call, so I'm enjoying a cold Yuengling with a grilled dinner on the back deck. Life is good

Now the question is if I should pull a cigar out of the humidor...

I'll stick to the regular cigars. I have enough legal vices without going on the other side of the law. :p

Cover. I wanted a tool box but having a double cab with a short bed the space I'd lose for hauling isn't worth it. Besides, I can store more stuff in the back seat than I can in a toolbox.

Buy a locking storage box that you can strap down in the bed under a cover. I plan on picking up one from home depot for camping/recovery gear. Quickly removable when you need but will keep stuff together and organized when not in use.

Wow... That's definatley better than what I was looking at. (pulls out wallet ;))

Also, I had to seriously look into what I carry for daily driving duties. I went went through and took out random stuff. I had two damn ball receiver hitches, three ice scrapers and winter clothes in the back storage bins last August...

Carry essentials at all times then pack the extra stuff as needed based on your routes.

    My 2 cents.

After seeing the prices for something like that... the wallet ran away. :(

For my plans, something like this will work just fine. I could buy a few extra toys to put inside with the money saved.

I don't plan on keeping it in my bed (under bestop topper) for anything other than camping/offroading trips. I have room for a few emergency recovery items in the truck in case something terrible happens. Your needs may be completely different so take all this with a grain of salt.

Id really like to get a cover for my bed, itd be nice for road trips with the cab full. But racing season starts in a few weeks and I still need to install my boost gauge, water temp gauge, all the wiring, heat wrap my header, and turn all 4 rotors =[ there goes another saturday
