    love the UFO scene
there's a local model RR club here too and they set up their stuff in the mall from time to time. those guys put so much detail into the dioramas they build. one guy has a Yellowstone Park themed area (and the railroad was originally the only way to get to the park so historically important there) and he adds a little bit each year. He now has tiny people taking selfies with the buffalo and feeding the bears.

Like he said..... You need to be carrying something anyway.... You don't appear to be a gun person..
So bear spray or a good walking stick.. knife.... Anything. You are a nice looking woman running around these places by yourself. It's fairly dangerous EVERYWHERE nowadays.

We don't want you to be the next "true crime" show my wife watches.

Announcer voice==== Montana Girl randomly attacked. Was it an animal? Was it a person? Investigative Discovery will bring all the details. Tonight at 11pm.

i go to these trails as it generally is the safest option. going through neighborhoods is an issue always here as lots of people dont keep their pets in check. i've never had an issue on the trails here.
while camping i always keep my bear spray and my fire poker - dad made, 3' or 1/4" steel with a custom steel hook and poker, hefty thing - within reach in case another camper's dog decides to come too close. had to start swinging that around a few times over the years.

does your wife follow a lot of cases? i'm also a true crime nut. been following the Chad Daybell trial in ID daily for the last month.

That's funny about the "people" taking selfies with the wildlife. Some modelers have a great sense of humor and can show it their "art". I enjoy more of the building aspect of the hobby- rail car kits, buildings, scenery.

There was another funny scene on a different layout.

Neat scene, but it was a "tiny" bit odd seeing WWII vintage German vehicles and such in "Egypt" then all of sudden a BNSF diesel locomotive goes through the scene... artistic licensing..
