Truck Camping Photo Thread

This is why I built an off-road camper trailer. When we are on a long trip and we are staying a few days in each spot we take the trailer, but for other trips where we just stop for the night and then charlie mic we just sleep in the back of the truck. I've contemplated an RTT for those one night stop trips, but I think if I were to do one it would be a RTT and cap combo like the Gaia or GFC Camper Shell.

Hey! I've got that exact same "off the back of the bed" awning. I love it! ;-)

 

Quick overnighter to check out a riverside dispersed spot. Not a lot of tree cover or privacy from other campers. Have a feeling it gets a lot busier in the summer too, so not sure I'll go back. Great for some springtime adventures though.

What bike hitch carrier do you run and how do you like it? Im thinking of getting one but im weary about the strength while offroading.

Love this thread, great to see ither folks’ set ups and camping scenery.

I kind of feel like this thread gets at the root of the whole tacoma modding fever we all have.

 

Spent a night in the NC mountains for some trout fishing and to show the lady where I grew up. Amazing out here

 

Same tent or did the insurance company keep it all?

 

Slept in the open bed, just a light bivy and sleeping bag. Perfect set up for the northern lights, too.
