The wife and a friend are going to see jelly roll in October and I was a little shocked at the ticket prices for what will be a good seat. Not a great seat.

You appear to have taken the weighted blanket trend to a new extreme.

I love certain true crime shows. First 48 has been my favorite TV show for the last 15+ years, Homicide Hunter: Lt; Kenda is another favorite. About 10 years ago, I decided I finally needed to follow my dream and go to Law School so I could become a Prosecutor, since homicide detective is no longer an option due to my spinal injury. Only got through first year of Law School, and then found out I am ineligible for student loans, so had no choice but to walk away and go back to the I.T. mess.

My wife follows a ton of true crime "streamers" on YouTube, people that cover trials and such. Main guy she follows goes by the handle "Recovery Addict", and then there is a woman, I think my wife said she is South African, but she may live in the States these days, I don't know her name.

    :rofl::rofl:

Reminds me of the “Footprints in the Sand” pictures. Apparently in this version when there is one set of tracks, it’s where the bear is carrying you off for dinner.

    MT,

My Wife is a Stenographer(court reporter on the little machine)... So she does the true crime all day every day & then comes home & watches every single true crime show that gets made along with court TV & so on. She did watch the Chad Daybell one & finished the Ethan Crumbley ones last nite.

She is an avid hiker (always armed)& it was her suggestion that I make that post to you.... Was just gonna mind my own business cause you didn't ask for input.... Wife said: doesn't she know how dangerous that is?

She recently watched the "6 women in the woods" show where they were all hiking alone & got kidnapped & raped on public hiking trails.....

No El Nino for you? I just read an article that says the summer around here will be slightly hotter and wetter. Not liking the wetter part. I'm waiting for a crew to come put a new deck on and the weather has them behind schedule.

Honestly I’ve never really had a problem when I’m out. Yes, I travel solo but I take as many precautions as I can to be safe.
I stay in campgrounds with hosts when possible
I drive around and survey who’s there if not and if anything gives me the heeby jeebies I go elsewhere
multiple people know where I am and I check in when cell service allows
try to make it look like I’m not solo by leaving extra chairs and stuff out so anyone driving by might think that I’m with someone and they’re just away at the moment
Make nice with the hosts and USFS or NPS folks even if it’s just the guy coming to clean the toilets.
When hiking I might wait and tag along behind a family if they’re heading out at the same time
I always store my camera before I get to camp so no one in camp is aware that I even have it. Being robbed is probably the greatest threat to me.

I had someone explain to me one time that his general view of me being out is that I’m like a unicorn. Not often you see a girl out on her own enjoying being out camping, hiking, fishing, etc. things that most girls wouldn’t do with their SO let alone by themselves. So why do something to ruin that for me? Leave me alone and let me keep enjoying what I do.
That or maybe I’m alone because I’m a psychopath and just got done burying my last victim. Leave me alone or you’ll be next.
Either way why risk messing with me? :notsure:

I am leaning towards the psychopath explanation
