Time to get the clunker New Holland moving, oil filter is almost convenient.

The choke & throttle cables prevent the use of a conventional filter wrench.

    KIMG3945.jpg

Oddly  I have a variety, this one does it.

    KIMG3947.jpg

Last year I bought another clunker, the young fellow said the deck was junk - he wasn't kidding...

    KIMG3943.jpg

    KIMG3944.jpg

It did however come with the proper deck hangers/adjusters on the left, the chains on the right were on mine for whatever reason.

    KIMG3946.jpg

Although not adjustable they did work except for the annoying tendency to toss the belt randomly - it is a $65 belt.

Rural living is tough, those brackets are supposed to be the same height.

    KIMG3948.jpg

If I recollect correctly the front of the deck got bent back so far the center blade took the chunk out of the roller.

    KIMG3950.jpg

Fortunately the other deck had a good (less bad at least) roller too.

This is going to take some hammering & ear plugs to make less bad.

After a succinct conversation punctuated with large tools about the guy paying the bills being in charge the deck saw it my way.

    That's chicken feed.

Some of the Toros I work on use a $225 belt.

Guess who got to buy a second one because he forgot to tighten down a guard?

My wife was just commenting on that. She has a cousin that is married to a police officer in the area. We couldn't remember what team he is on.

    Sad news no matter what.

My son played soccer from 6yo up through D1 college and was invited to MLS Combine. So, i absolutely understand the insane game schedule.
We never once pushed any direction for both our kids. They could do what the want, as long as GPA was kept to B+.
They tried everything but kept coming back to soccer, so we supported it.
Was it worth it? Financially, um no. Academic scholarships are worth more money. From a family standpoint? Absolutely. We went all over the east coast from Florida to Maine. We didn't take a proper vacation for years, just long weekends in the minivan and hotels.
Plus, we knew who his friends were and we knew what they were doing.
Everyone is different. I am glad I tore my rotator cuff as a sophomore pitcher
In high school. I hated baseball by then.
My kids loved it and still do.
Do what is best for Cole and then family.

    ...several hours later...

Well, it was a great idea - except that it didn't work.

The two decks are identical: Same blades, rollers, pulleys, rear mount/lift the same -- except the (identical) mounting points on the front of the deck are in a slightly different location.

After about 2 hours of trying each combination on both sides which requires laying down and reaching under the tractor, I finally measured the mount spacing. :annoyed:

So the chains are back on and I brought the damn thing back home at 8:30, dirty, sore, ticked off and starving. :frusty:

This year I should count how many quarts of oil it digests in the season.

This was what they told me when they delivered the lobsters to the wrong porch shown in their delivered notification. Fedex is known for their unreliable delivery business. :annoyed:

    Good Morning everyone :hattip:

I’m kicking myself….went back to the tire place for an alignment and to read the sensors into my truck. Alignment went fine, all sensors were dead.

I had the sensors changed over from my old summer tires so they haven’t been on the truck since last fall. They’re aftermarkets I got from the same tire place back in 2018 or so.

The thing is we talked about a new set sensors and I said ok if needed figuring they would have checked.

I asked what’s the best price they could do the replacements for and without hesitation, the manager said “we’ll take care it. No charge to you.”

    2 things I’m struggling with:
    1) I wasn’t looking for a freebee. Considering the age of the sensors, I think it’s possible they all died over the winter. Any thoughts on whether I should insist to pay?
    2) I don’t like other people taking off or putting on my tires. I never ugga dugg them and use hand tools only including three steps with torgue wrench and non-marring socket to get to 83 ft.lbs. for each lug. Not much I can do except check the condition and torque when I get home.

Found this lizard tail in the shop at home yesterday, Macy caught it and ate the rest. Not bad for a 15 year old cat.

My set of sensor lasted about 10 yrs before one failed; yours installed back in 2018, it seems their life span is on the shorter end of the normal range. Perhaps the manager do that to keep his customer happy.

Good morning shop crew :hattip: Yesterday at the range was a bust, got over there and forgot it’s closed on Monday  Supposed to be raining today but it’s not so far. Radar only has rain offshore and moving away from us so maybe we will luck out today.

Thank you! I can’t wait for my birthday present delivery!

Dude, we're not running a charity here. All bday presents must be picked up. It's in the fine print in the package you will receive when you pick it up.
