    On the fence. Should I...
    A. Get the weld yourself coastal off-road high clearance bumper kit for the 2nd gen or
    B. Get the e-locker axle built and finished for the 1st gen

I'd say A but having Olivia (less time) would lead me to say B

Not being sarcastic at all, because I also want to do it, but how do y'all justify having and even building more than one truck/large suv?
Would love to have a LC at some point, but just thinking about it makes me feel like I should stop putting any money in the Taco if I'm just going to get a LC you know
Seems like you'll end up favoring one and the other will sit, can't take two trucks camping at once

I guess I just love my truck and don't want to make it redundant by getting a different/better rig as well?

You are probably right. I can work on the locker inside when she is napping. I think after I get the diff together I need to bring it to a shop to check my work.

I think it entirely depends on why you have more than one. I have 2 (Taco and T4R) but one is more for play and the other for practical reasons. I just don't have much time to play anymore so the truck mostly sits lol. But the time will come again eventually when I call on it more like I used to.

Having 2 to play with would be an expensive hobby no doubt, but if you can and you want to then why not

That is why I got a daily, but you're right, even if I can get to work, I still can't go wheeling when the trucks down.. That is a problem..

Yeah I guess that's what it comes down to; if you can, then you can and its not a worry. Looks like I got some overtime to put in to get there

For me it was easy. I bought a bunch of parts trucks to fund the 1st gen build. I didn't spend any of my paychecks on the truck. Plus I bought the truck new in 1996 so I have had plenty of time to work on it. The 2nd gen is the daily driver. I haven't done anything to it that can't easily be undun with the exception of cab mount chop.
I did promise the wife I wouldn't do anything to the new 4runner other than tires and wheels.

Well, different rigs can serve different purposes

That's how you plan accordingly and manage what you put into each one

Many of us had/have multiple vehicles, sometimes one is left stock, others modified, it just depends on each individual
