Ha! Never! Thinking about selling it to reinforce the savings and put some money into both the 1st gen and 2nd gen. Undecided still.

The 4R100 having to use second gear for the 16000th time on the hwy because the 7.3 has 14hp left but still won't die

They just don't have the grunt of modern common rail rigs, but they can still put out pretty impressively for the cost of a new PSD in upgrades haha

May just sell mine and use my old mans 14 for now. Hard decision since i may never find one as clean as mine again, especially for what i paid.

 the whole powerband feel on that setup is like a giant rubber band. I would love to have the 7.3 paired with the 5spd that came in on the 6.0 or hell I wonder how it would be with the modern 10spd

Agreed. If i put about 15k in it. I can be turning 450 WHP very reliably. But for the 35k that would be into that truck I could have/close to a very nice 15-16 Rig which can break 500 easily with just a tune. But I cant even justify having a diesel right now. Its there when i need it right now, which saves my ass a lot. But just dont use it very often. Sell it, wait a few years to resettle up in Northern CO, then buy a 15-19. Sounds like a good plan but idk.

5R110 is a solid trans. I wish they were reasonably adaptable to the 7.3.

Cost to operate plus utility don't seen to cross well for you with it, I'd sell it too if it meant more convenience. The fact that it struggles pulling the Taco tells me even if you did have a use for it, it isn't that useful anyway. Nostalgia is strong with them for sure though, I get that.

Current motor/trans config its most definitely lacking. Its a fun truck empty driving around town. Sunday cruiser if you will. I'm gonna end up selling it. I always wanted a 95-97 7.3 since my parents had one while i was young anyway too. Ill own another in the future. Strictly for cruising around haha.

    Is it paid off?
While the 7.3 isn't the powerhouse of the diesel world, I do think the trans holds it back from shining it's best.
I have no idea why, the NHL schedules always a bit goofy to me. Not sure if I should cancel the first date I have tonight with a girl so I can go sit in a bar and watch the game :anonymous:

Yessir. If i sold it now itd be a couple years before i bought another. Id rather build the 2nd gen a little as well as the 1st gen.

The trans is most definitely the ball and chain for these trucks. Although a built 4r100 is near indestructible from a reputable builder.

    4 run, 2 don't
This would really allow one to be in their own element, and see how the other party responds - hell, he might suggest the change and she might flat out say 'no thanks'

Easy way to dodge a bullet

We have one here, figured most large metro areas would have at least one

I wish, we have a few bars that are well known to always show hockey but not hockey themed, per se. Most are actually in the Hermosa/Redondo Beach area because most of the Kings players live around there close to the practice rink
