If you do, make sure to introduce yourself. I've still only ever met like 4 people off TW.

For sure. It's there enough stuff for a stock truck to have fun?

It's a really tame track, perfect for a stock vehicle. It's main purpose is to give people a safe place to try offroading for the first time. People who have done a lot of offroading already would find it pretty easy and possibly boring. There is only one obstacle I need 4wd on.

I should take my wife up there to get her more comfortable. I’ve been doing this stuff awhile now but she is new to it all and isn’t comfortable driving off the paved road at all if it’s more than a gravel road. Having a “controlled” environment may help ease that fear a little

@YF_Ryan do you work there or close by?

I'm 30 or 40 minutes from DirtFish, where they run these events. I just volunteer with my buddy Mike who runs the event (and teaches the recovery class).

Ah I didn’t know about this DirtFish place. I’ll have to look into it! Thanks for the info…if I end up going up there, maybe could do a taco meetup for a beer too in the area.

is dirtfish a place you can just go up and pay to use the course or does it have to be organized?

DirtFish is the rally racing school in Snoqualmie. They allowed the Avants car club to build the offroad course on the back of their property that isn't used by their rally racing track. It's only available for organized events. As far as I've heard, majority of the $60 per rig goes to cover renting the property and the cost of insurance for the event.

Too bad you guys couldn't have come out last month. March is women's month, so they do a yearly women only event. I usually pace the first lap to show everyone how to get around the track, but to keep in the spirit of things my wife lead last month.

Oh man, I’ll have to join up and maybe next March have her go out there for women’s month. Sounds worth it and $60 isn’t bad for the experience she’d get and to be around other women would help her out also! Thanks for the info!!!!

Haha, I have the same problem. Took her through Tahuya once and she ended up popping a Xanax, pounding beers, and swearing to never go again.

Yeah I’ve tried introducing her to some dirt road driving and playing on some areas that have had small bypasses for…nothing too serious. I think he she had Xanax she’d have taken them haha! I told her it’s pretty safe with the right about of caution used and at a safe speed. I think seeing other women doing it would give her some more confidence

ill lend you my 8yo. girl, terrified to blast the go cart in the yard, but, 100% knows how to turn off traction control and put it in 4wd.and knows to go super slow. girl can barely see over the wheel if she is on the gas but yeah. I once got my wife to drive up a smaller incline, looks scarier then it actually is, and from the back seat, my daughter is yelling, " just bump it mom, like dad. hold the brake give some gas and let it go." she might hold her own at one point.

Exactly! I’ve had my 14 year old driving the same roads for years now. The wife is just scared, Ive kept working on it though and she’s getting better with it but still hesitant. She use to be the same way with firearms and now has a CPL and carries daily…shows me she can get over the fear but at her own speed.

I've been collecting a few pics of trucks but have been lazy and not posting. Caught this super green Pro at Bellevue Square Mall on April 9th.
