Favorite Whiskey?

I'm originally from Alabama and would love to try Dettling as he is the only bourbon distillery in the state of Alabama. I can't seem to find it in Colorado though.

I did find Paul Sutton is an Alabama family bourbon who sources all the grain in the mash bill from a farm in Aliceville Alabama. They ship it to Bardstown to distill it from a recipe that wilderness trail reverse engineered to determine the family recipe from some bottles they found after the passing of the grandfather. Cool story and it's a sweet mash not a sour mash but I enjoyed it well enough that I don't regret the purchase.

 

I had to order online. I have a current order out...that hasn't been fulfilled for 2 weeks....arghhhhhh, same for a semi reasonably priced Antique 107 that seems to have not appeared. They love to get your money at check out though.

Anyone ever try this? Small distillery out of Greeley CO..on sale for $25. For 120 proof I was considering it. Also scored two bottles of Stellum Rye for $39 each. They were not carrying it anymore?

A few days ago we visited the James Beauregard Beam Distillery and took a fun tour (with tasting). If you're near Clermont, Kentucky, I'd recommend stopping by.

There were 4 more on the shelf for that price of anyone is interested. I would have bought two, but I had already bought the other three at a different place. Maybe next payday?

 

I compared the new Stagg 23B to Little Book Chapter 8. Little book blows it away....and for a lot less

I always look for one of these but can never find it. Always a treat

 

Picked up Buffalo Trace at Costco. Saving it for a June RV camping trip. Hope it's good stuff! Taking my trusty JD camping this weekend.

 

I have no issues for BT but my current issue is the price jump in my area. I used to see it everywhere for under $25, now places are charging $40 and up and at that price, I have better options.

 

Most definitely, I think much over $30 for BT is like putting a do not buy tag on it.
